Is there anything you can do with burnt out cppro tail motors besides throw them away or make some kind of art out of them ?

Mosiris,

You could use them as Christmas Tree ornaments. You may want to consider going with a dual-tail system. I did that a couple years ago and the motors, then seem to last forever. Never get hot, they share the load.

Rikybob,

You have to keep in mind that they are 10 dollar motors and don't last forever. However, with a dual set-up, both motors share the load and run very cool. Heat, in any electronic device is a killer for sure. Anyway, here's a link for the dual motor bracket.
You may want to google it, may be a few bucks cheaper somewhere else? It's all marketing and keeping there cost down, plus the guys that make the motors benefit.. MARKETING PLOYS! Buyer beware!

Second item down the page:

Just take your time and be patient,, save some bucks that way,

The Honeybee cp2 motors are $6, I usually get 3 or 4 in an order.

I do the same, they ware out about the same time. Dual Motor tail is way to go thought. I fly a lot better with dual tail. actually my first successful hover was with first time flying with dual tail.
Only thing is if you crash and stall the motor both could dies at once.

I tried direct drive, for some reason they didn't work for me so went back to Dual Tail. I got the all heavy one, I didn't do enough shopping around i guess.

I agree with the comments about the dual tail. I originally cut my boom about one inch shorter to help compensate for the added weight. I crashed awhile ago and the boom broke right at the twin tail. I cut off the stub and now my boom is at least two inches shorter than stock. The heli balances much better now. In the pic you can see the peice of plastic hose that I use for a boom protector.
