Hey guys.
I dont know what i would do without all of your feedback and info. Two weeks ago I purchased a NIB cx-2 for Dad and a used one for myself. Mine has many upgrades, which is why I purchased it. I wanted to see what sort of difference they made in the performance of the heli. Anyway, I live 2 hours from Dad and we are practicing on our own. I have been practicing with my upgraded heli every day and night for 2 weeks. It is/was very touchy and I could not figure out why.. When I flew his, it was slower and not as aggressive. Since I am new to the hobby, I am just starting to figure things out. I am semi-mechanically inclined, so I think I am catching on quickly. I have been reading as much as I can about the CX-2 flight, upgrades, and set-up. After realizing yesterday that the servo pushrods were out in the third hole, I figured I should try to move it to the second hole. Of course, I was worried about screwing up the perfect setup and hover that the previous owner had done. Needless to say, it is so much more enjoyable to fly inside! I was able to balance the swashplate I believe. NO problems with my hover. It seems balanced. Although I was able to fly pretty well out on the third hole, AFTER NUMEROUS CRASHES INSIDE, it is much more enjoyable to fly in the second hole. You can stop laughing now

They come stock on the first hole and IMO barely move around at all. I moved mine to the second hole like you now have. I think the third hole is too much and it also causes binding issues on the servos which will wear them out faster. Glad to see you made great progress. Are you better then your dad at flying it?

hey xyster.
dad is a chicken with his
first day he had lots of trouble. second day, much better at the hover. i bought him a sim, so he is waiting for me to go home and set him up with the sim. needless to say, i can fly circles around him. i was thinking about buying the trainer cable to make him more comfortable.
i broke a servo horn, so i am trying to superglue this one until i can get another.
i am addicted!

I started with the second hole as well, and now I'm maxed out on the arm. I think that my BCX is a lot like flying a CP. Either hole you choose to use to fly; it's a matter of preference. The most important thing is that you enjoy your heli and continue to fly it for fun.
