Just got my Blade 400 today and I am a little confused. About 3/4 of the time when I connect the battery I get a blinking light on the receiver that never stops blinking, is this an indication of a problem or is this normal. Checked the manual and every forum I could find but dont see any mention of a blinking light on the receiver. Does anyone know what this means.

If its a spektrum system that means you had a power failure.
Usually its caused when you switch batteries or reconnect one without turning the transmitter off. If you want the blinking lights to go away turn off the transmitter each time you unplug the battery and turn it back on before you plug another one in.

One other possibility that I've seen mentioned and it's possible with electrics; if you have a bit of difficulty getting the battery leads plugged into the ESC and it connects briefly before you get it plugged in, the rx will think it's seen a power brownout. I've had this happen with my foamies and Deans connectors, but not with the EC3's on the Blade.
But as Barracuda mentioned if you're seeing them on landing rather than just when you plug in the battery, you've got a problem....
Oh yeah, the Blade 400 uses the Spektrum AR6100E rx, here's the SB talking about the Quick Connect firmware;

Are you sure you dont just require re-binding??? only anytime you mess with the tail like gyro settings you will ALWAYS need to re-bind the tx and rx...
