I'v had my CX2 since christmass last year and since then have had a great time flying. But now I need to get somethings to get it back in the air. My body is trashed so was looking at getting a CF tail. How are these? Also need landing skida and lower rotor head. Where is a good place to get these and do you have any other good up grades that I should add to the CX2...

Thanks guys.
The micro's are great. We have a blast around the house with them. Still havent went to lipo yet, just couse I'm saving up to get a bl so I will be waiting to order all at once.
What I want to do with the CX2 is fix it and get a camera for it to do some air views of bashing. Anyone have any info on a small camera that would work?

You can buy a mini "spy cam" on ebay for about $30 to $40. They are very small, and fairly light-weight, so it would be a perfect solution for mounting to a CX/2... well, almost perfect. The problem isn't the wireless camera, the problem is the heavy 9V transistor battery you need to power it! I think that a CX/2 isn't powerful enough for carrying such weight.

+1 to boomtownhobbies.com Jamie who runs it is great. Get some super skids (don't break), a CF tail ($14), canopy ($8) and he even has a camera you can put on it.

Thats the problem with the camera's I'v found. But hope to find one that will work.
Boomtown looks good but they don't have a lower rotor head and I need that first.. Also some of there prices seem higher then most.

I did find that HobbyLobby sells a product called FlyCamOne2 Micro Video Camera that someone was able to connect to CX/2 > http://www.hobby-lobby.com/video-camera.htm
There is a nice write up about it is here > http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=703830
+1 to BoomtownHobbies.com also... I wanted to build my own CF flybar for my CX/2 and Jamie was awesome in helping me "pull it all together". I don't think his prices are any higher... remember to account for shipping. Others may charge a buck or two less, but they charge a buck or two more for shipping. All in all, I think most places are pretty competitive on pricing and are only able to differentiate themselves on what product lines they carry and how well they provide customer service. Jamie has a great product lines and excellent customer service.
xyster101 - where do you see that Boomtown has a camera? I can't find it anywhere on the website?!?

Steve, Jamie used to have them listed but that was ages ago. Xyster might be going off memory. On Jamies old site they were listed on the front page. Maybe shoot Jamie an email, he will either point you in the right direction or be able to get one still.

Trying to get my list together for my b-day. So far I will be getting.....
Ultra flex skids..
CF tail boom
Spare batts. (still need to find the best deal)
Lower roto head
Spy cam
and thinking the generation 2 motors....
What do you think? Will this give me a better CX2? Is the CF tail boom better then stock tail body?

Ultra flex skids... Yep! Not only will they not break, but they really help absorb shock on hard landings!
CF tail boom... Yep! I think it really helps remove the "toy" look and gives it a more "proper" image!
Spare batts... It seems that a lot of people like the DN Power / Tenergy 900 and the price doesn't seem too bad ([link]http://www.boomtownhobbies.com/DN_Power_Tenergy_900mAH_CX2_Battery_Pack_p/dn900cx.htm[/link])
Lower roto head... I upgraded mine to the E-flight CNC Aluminum and have been very happy... If you can swing it, go for the E-Flight Aluminum Swashplate also
Spy cam... Only if you promise to post videos for all of us to see
generation 2 motors.... I have heard "good" and "neutral" comments... some say they improve performance, some say that you are better off spending your money on good batteries instead.

Great to hear that my list is a good one.. Think maybe I will wait on the motors for now and see how the new batts do. Agree with you on the way the tail booms make the heli look. This is why it is first on the list.
I plan on getting some good video for all to watch. My thoughts are to use it for getting vid's of us bashing and flying around.

All together but now I need a set screw for the top rotor head. Lost it at some point of the repair. Anyone know what size it is?
