Ya.... Wish he woulda got me to go with him to the lhs... I wouldn't have recommended the 120 really.. But I guess once he gets it down I'll get him on something better. Told him to get Phoenix n I'll let him use my dx6ii....

Good call on Phoenix and letting him use your dx6i. I wish I had someone around here to fly with. I did find the spot a lot of folks use that's about 5 minutes from work. Perhaps I'll go there after work during spring and summer.

HK won't give me a refund.
Ivan - does the guy you know still have the Flymentor. Maybe I could try it out on his puter or handheld to see if it works at all.
Dome night, packs are charged - just wish I could plug myself in there & get a boost!!!

Ivan - Thanks & yes (I'll save it for you).
Saw a mCP X at the dome w/ a BL motor - it was screaming but only for about 2 minutes! And the pack was very warm at 2 min...

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
I'd guess this thread is no longer being monitored! We haven't been on topic for a long while! LOL
Wait a minute, bullets can't kill zombies!! They're already dead...
Ivan - thanks again. The ball sizer tools were hanging behind the pitch gauge. How many times did we both look on the tool rack!!!!!! I found them when I went to hang the pitch gauge back up. LMAO
I am happy to report that the new heli got maidened today! I figure I was about 70% close to getting it right enough to fly, maybe less. Ivan picked it up & found 2 critical problems in the 1st 5 seconds - 1 my mistake & the other a MFG error on the tail I never noticed. A few tweeks here & there & he spooled it up in the basement & adjusted the tail settings. Then we stepped outside to tweek the controls for me. Sorry no vid, I was just so excited to see it in the air I forgot!
Then we sat down for a while & fooled around with the Flymentor. I'm pretty sure it is working as Ivan got the mode lights to change, finally. My software still doesn't recognize it but his friend Mike lent us the KDS programmer. So now I can temporarily hook it up to the old EXI to make sure all is well & if it is, on it goes!
Then Ivan shot a few arrows at a target in my basement range.
This afternoon I went to a bluegrass concert.
Quite a good day all around!

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
Chuck, I know something was hung up behind the pitch gauge but the package was facing the other way. I think whatever was on the back of that package indicated that it was something besides ball link sizers in it. Odd.
I am glad the new heli is up and running well. Looks like it has a lot of potential. I am excited to see how the KDS turns out. I know you will take your time getting that set up well which will be a pretty radical departure from Mike's helis (KDS and Helicommand) that I set up for him.
Thanks for letting me chuck a quiver of arrows down your range. That sure was a blast from the past. Nice bow too. You should get a stabilizer for it..... makes a big difference.

RE: Struggling with single rotor basics V2
Chuck,
Shoot Zombies in the head. That's the accepted kill. On an episode of the Walking Dead that was set at CDC in Atlanta, they showed what happens... brain activity goes from blue to red. Whatever that means. Shot to the brain... dead zombie.
The Walking Dead... Zombie shows kill me. These folks are dead. They have no pulse yet they walk around eat and don't just rot. Doesn't make sense. I suppose if one suspends disbelief. Funny thing is, on The Walking Dead, the Zombies beat the USmilitary. There were episodes where they over ran tanks, soldiers, etc. Fun stuff. Gotta love it. I can't wait until the show comes back in February.
Good deal on the maiden, Chuck!

Ivan - yep! lol
Scott - thanks for the recap & zombie lesson. I only have an air rifle & a bow & arrows, will either of these be effective?

Chuck,
Reports from the Georgia outbreak indicate that a well placed arrow is just as effective. No word on conventional bow firing, though. The reported kills come from crossbow use. Be safe; do as Ivan suggested and get a stabilizer.
