My MSR flying time is way to short stock wonder how long ti would last with a heaver alloy frame. Being mine is my first single blade helicopter and I have a small area to fly I changed the servo travel and EXP to tame it down. Set it in the dual rate so I can flip one of the switches and I am back to 100%. I all am using the DX6i.

chazm.x, You may have to recalibrate the swashplate with the red tool. Try that first; after crashes, the top of the swashplate will pop out and that is what the tool is for. I have had to do it many times after I crashed and my heli would not fly right......</p>

Thanks for the help guys! Upon further inspection, one ofthe swashplate ball links was just hanging on, so i replaced it, andafteradjustments, its a completely different bird. But, i still ordered that shiny new main frame and the blade grips. I've heard how they break real easy, and after letting my friends fly it into everything, I'd rather not make so many trips to my LHS which is over an hour away. Thanks again

i bought the microheli aluminum main frame and its some nice machine work but mine was a little off on the gear mesh so it is loud and has shorter flights.so far i am happy with the blade grips and head and swash i bought.i wrote to microheli and they got back to me right away and said i must have a defective frame and said they will send a new one out right away.i will let you know how that one works.

I was just looking at the mSR today and it definitely got my attention.
What's the verdict on it? I got a Blade400 for Christmas and I'd like to pick up an indoor (like living room indoor) heli at some point.
I like that the mSR looks more versatile/manueverable than a coaxial heli, but I'm wondering if there are any problems with it that would make the mCX a better choice?

i like the msr.i am very happy with it.you wont be able to get much foward speed out of the mcx.the only problem you might have is the blade holders tend to break after a hard crash so you will want to replace them with the microheli aluminum ones.also you have to use heatshrink tubing on the endbell of the rear tail motor because that can pop off in a crash.i would just keep a set of spare blades.landing skids and an extra main gear on hand.and buy extra battery packs.the ones off ebay for,i think they are 6 for $20.00 from china work nice with the msr.check out the video's on u-tube for the msr heli.you wont be dissapointed.its a nice micro heli and easy to repair.and flies well outside on a really calm day.

Thats awesome microheli will take care of you like that. Did you buy it direct or did you buy it from yourLHS?And are you running the 150 pack? I have the metal grips already and there might be a little difference in FT with the 120's but not that noticable. Thanks for your input

Has any one weighed theirs with the alloy parts on them to see how much heaver it is and all so how much flight time do you loose to being heaver?
As far as getting more forward speed on the MCX if you get this it will make a BIG difference.

i have the 138mah packs.i have not seen any 150 packs cheap enough yet.the 138 packs work fine.i am thinking about getting the mia landing skids.has anyone tried them yet?i told the guy at micro heli he should make aluminum landing skids.he said he would think it over.i have almost all the aluminum parts they make so far,and so far they dont seem to heavy.just that gear mesh issue i had and i bought a swash from them and one of the ball links broke off because they are very delicate but i wrote micro heli and they replaced it for me with a new one.also you have to break in that bearing in the swash for a while before it gets nice and loose.also i noticed you should leave the blades a little loose with the microheli blade holders or you will get the toilet bowl effect.but make sure you use thread lock on all the screws so nothing gets loose.tamiya thread lock is what i use.it works really well and is easy to break loose again when you need to.most hobby shops will order it for you if you cant find it.

Just letting everyone know theMicroheli main frame is totally worth it!!!(Thanks forthe input bigchild). The plastic frame mine had was about 1.5 degrees more to the right, causing theservo links to rub on the canopy, and my trims to be way out. After adjusting the linksand getting as close to 90 as possible, this bird is almost hands free hover!Thecyclic response has improved 100% and almost no TBE.Now if we can figure a way to make left rudder more authoritative, we'll have ourselves ahigh performanceultra micro.

Could someone weigh the stock and Microheli frame to see if what Microheli claims is true about the weight. Or if someone sends me one I will do it. LOL
Whit my stock frame I can do a hands off hover for quite a while. What radios are you guys using?
Thanks all for the input.

Sorry 46u,I don't have a scale
, but it is noticablyheavier. I'd say itsmore than what microheli claims.I'm also using a DX6i, and didnt have to adjust the expo at all. It works fine for me. The flight times are a little lesswith my 130 packs, so I'm in process of getting a couple of 150's (my friend loaned me his for testing the metal grips so I havent tried them). I've also heard the MIAlanding skids load the weight on too, so I think I'll stick with the stockers for a while. But for my next trick, I'm thinking about the Microheli swash. Other than the ball links being weak, has anyonehave input on performance?I'm sure I'm not the only curious one out here.

Keep up the good work guys and tanks for the information. I thought about getting a microheli frame but worried it is to heavy for me and do not want to take a chance.

I am looking for some help with replacing my frame on my MSR for the Aluminum one. There is some sort of Black apoxy hoding the motor on the plastic one. If Ichange to the Aluminum one, what do I use to secure the motor?
