Thought to myself, I can finally put that Huey body on it now. I go to zip it up and clean it all up and now the stupid tail motor won't work at all. I checked the connectors. Any ideas?</span>

Have you hot wired the battery to the motor leads to see if it will spin up? Sounds like you may have a connection issue. My ESC would turn green and still not operate the tail motor right when it went out, so don't disclude it just because it gave the green light.

I got it fixed today. It was a bad motor. Quite possible the person who soldered it held it on too long and damaged the insides.

Thought it was fixed until I zip tied the bundle of wires again and it failed. After messing with it some more the wires to the gyro from the 2n1 came out. So I guess it will sit now until I can afford to get a 2n1. Anybody got a spare 2n1 laying around?

I didn't think it hooked up to the gyro. Guess I should pay more attention to the wiring on my chopper, eh? Hahaha. Let me know if you want it. I saw your original post said you'd installed the brushless setup, which is why I didn't think you could use it.

In a way, you do swap it out, but you still need it for the tail motor. You can go with a brushless tail motor, but you still have to have a separate esc.
