I got my Cp pro yesterday and after i charged the battries and turned on the controler i pluged in the battries to the heli and the 3 in 1 blinked red then green slowly. I did everything that the manule said but nothing. im going to try to relplace the crystals but other wise im going to send the 3 in1 back. Has anyone else had this problem? any help would be great.
thanks

Did the light stay green eventaully?? On my CP it usually blinks green maybe 5 or 6 times then stabalizes upon arming it.

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO

Commander_Bob,

Just make sure that the throttle and throttle trim are both all the way down. As, Psikelly, stated it will blink 4 or 5 times before it becomes a solid green..

The blinking process is a way that the Transmitter and Receiver talk to each other to make sure every thing is okay between the two.

Also, make sure that the servo reversing switches on the transmitter are in the right position. It should be in the manual.

I have a CP, not the Pro, so it could be different than mine.

Hope we helped,

Dave / Choppersrule

I thought the blinking was the gyro initializing? I might be wrong tho.

I checked the throtle and trim and normal mode switch and nothing. I think im going to send it back to Horizon Hobby because it is still under warrienty.

Also it just keeps blinking for minuts

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO

slow, alternating red/green blinking usually means that the receiver can't 'hear' any signal from the TX. If you have good batteries in the TX, and all green lights are on, and you have re-seated the crystals, then you probably have one of the following:

- A bad TX
- A bad crystal
- A bad receiver

If you can find someone at the LHS or similar with a BCP who will try their crystals and/or TX with your heli to test it, you should be able to narrow it down pretty quickly.

Hope you get it working soon...

I got mine and it flies awesome....I'm a begginer (my only experience was 3 weeks on a Blade CX 2 times per day and 4 weeks in a simulator) and started flying my BCPP w/o training gear and now I'm hovering, FWD flight, but not stunt yet.

Also I got a new Landing Gear that looks great and adds some stability.

I was flying my heli the other day and was doing some fast forward flight from one side of the yard to the other....well....as i got to the end i swooped up really fast and then gave it a lot of power to go straight up and then back down....when i gave it full power it started to twitch and eventually crashed, and now when i power it up all it does it twitch.....IM pretty sure my 3-1 is toasted but wanted to see if anyone else has had this experienc.

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO

Got my Pro last week, its my first heli, zero experience but things are coming along nicely. Im finding that 18 min batt times are norm while just hovering and I managed to get it in a stable (3min) hover in my garage after following Radds program. 4 days after I got it i took it outside to hover higher and crashed, only broke one blade and had already ordered the Plasti Blades so I only had one day down. Put the new blades on today and they work great, tracking is only off slightly and it only seems to be on the part of the blade rotation over the tail boom. Hmmm, no big deal, hovers solid about a foot off the ground so my lesson learned was take it a bit slower and be happy hovering in your garage for a while. Cant wait to master this thing, still ironing out some very minor trim and proportion problems but this thing is great. For those interested, the Plasti blades do help with stabiity. I was wondering if anyone has put the HL gyro on how much it improves tail stability over stock, both hovering and in FF.

Maybe your problem is that the gyro of the 3-in-1 is set too high, try to lower the gain a bit and try again.... The manual, tells you how to do it!.... Hope this hint can help you!!

Hi guys! I bought my BCPP a few week ago and am wondering how to get into forward flight. I have no experience in forward flight (except for the sim), and I am wondering what is the best way to learn.

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO

Very slowly. Im doing FF in my basement. I now have a 10 x 16 foot space to fly in,(mostly hovering) But I can also do some FF and reverse flight. Just push forward a TINY bit at a time. If you try go too fast its easy to lose control. The heli will also tend to drop a bit if you go too fast. But go really slow as if the heli is just drifting forward and youll be safe. Once youre compfortable with this then speed up a bit at a time. Before you know it youll be speeding right along

I see that no one has made a PRO specific thread yet, so here it is.

Well, has anyone been able to buy a BCPP yet? Does it fly well? What do you think of it compared to the BCP?

My LHS doesn't have it in yet, but when they do I will tell you what I think.
Just bought one. It is my first heli. Bought it 3 days agao and it flies well. I have flown planes many years ago and bought flight sim software to learn how to fly the heli. I love it!!!!!

Looped mine lastnite for the first time, was about 20 feet from the ground and came out of the loop at about 5 feet from the ground, hmmmm, i think im gonna put an inrunner 400 in. Other than that and that i got a bad battey charger, its pretty good. (i havent burnt out a tail motor yet, which is a suprise;)

:D Just got my first stable hover! 10 seconds at two feet. Might not sound like alot, but last night I couldn't even hover at 2 inches for one second lol.

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO

Just ordered about 200 dollars worth of upgrades for mine yesterday. Im gonna have it quite a bit over-powered though with its new E-flite brushless inrunner 400. And i got a bigger battery for it. a better li-po charger, super landing gear and ill probably end op with a head locking gyro for the added tork, but i guess that thats what the trim is for. If i start burning out too many tail motors ill just go belt driven, and when i kill the blades that i have now ill get carbon fiber, and when i kill all the swash plate and rotor head ill just go aluminum. by the time im done with this beauty ill probably have spent about 600 dollars. but ill have the nicest blade in the world!

Woo hoo! Just had a 2 minute hover! Maybe i'll be ready for some slow FF by the end of the week?

RE: E-FLITE BLADE CP PRO

Hey as I said befor my reciver was defective and today I went to see if my LHS could tell if it was the Tx Rx or Crystals. I got there and the crystals were fine. The guy working there then tested it with a 4-in-1 from a CP because they had no 3-in-1s it stock and it worked. He said that they had no recivers either but I saw them on the bottom shelf so he gave me a reciver free and took my defective one and he said he would just send it back to Horizon for me. Man I love my LHS.

Later tonight I flew it for the first time in my gradge. First time flying EVER. Im following Radd's school of Rotary flight so I drew that 1sq foot box and powered up.

I did not take off but man it was fun. I ajusted the gain and proportion pots and it works even better.

The only thing i could not figure out was when i pushed left the right side of the blades went up and the left went down (correct right?) but the heli went right. I powered down did the control test again and everything is fine. I was not at very high head speeds so maby at higher its different. If you can help that would be great. Can't wait for tomaro! FINALY IT WORKS :D:D:D:D:D[8D]:D

Where do you get the CP Pro Avatar from?

Well, when you are on the ground, the helicopter has a tendancy to drift to the left, but as soon as you are in the air, it drifts to the right.

And yes, when you tilt the stick to the left, the rotor disc should tilt to the left (left side- down: right side- up)

Greenhorn,
I just "saved as" off of either Horizon or E-flite site. Or maybe I saved the url location. Either way, that's the picture I used.
