Default Prop size question

Hey fella's. I am finishing up a project that i converted from brushed to brushless and have learned with the intended prop i have no ground clearance. I have used a 10 X 3.8 2 blade prop on this motor:
(KV=1200
No. Of cells 2-3x Li-Poly
Max. efficiency 82%
No load current / 10 V 0,5 A
Current capacity 24 A/60s)
In searching for props that may work i ran across an 8 X 8 4 blade.
The question is, how will this prop perform compared to the 10 X 3.8 2 blade?

Default RE: Prop size question

On 3S the 8x8x4 will draw slightly higher amps, you'll loose roughly 30% thrust, and gain 40% in prop speed.

If you could fit a 9x6x3, amps similar, thrust only slightly less, and prop speed slightly higher then the 10x3.8 set up.

Thank you for the information, very helpful. I will try it with the 9X6X3's and go from there.
