I bought a H&M spitfire kit out of an Estate sale yesterday. I thought all the parts were there, but when I got it home, I noticed the nice fancy motor mount was missing. I tried to look up H&M's website with no success. Not sure if they went out of business or not........so my question is.....does anybody know where I can go to purchase the mount? The recommended motor for this kit is an E-flite 60. If there is an alternative, I might do that. Any help would be appreciated.

There are always alternatives!
The Eflite 60 should work quite well with either metal post or sleeve mounts, and you can always make plywood box mounts.
The key is to measure the exact distances involved, and determine the motor centerline so that the prop is centered in the Cowl opening.
Great Planes (and others) also make adjustable electric motor mounts.

You can always buy a motor mount that you need and someone else has already told you how, plus there are many other motors out there that will work in your Spitty,i'd say try the Turnigy easy match motors because they are a good price and i use them all the time.
I'll leave a link but as i'm not sure what KV the E-flite one is i couldn't match that motor up but if you know the KV you can soon find the one you will need, just go to the bottom of the page on the link i've left and you will see the power 60 at the bottom,if that one don't have the KV you want go to the next page as there are a few more power 60's on there with different KV's.
You don't have to go with the Turnigy motor as most power 60's will be good for that Spitty as long as you know what KV you want, good luck with your build and i hope you get everything sorted soon.
