Default Need prop advice

My brother and I are building some HOB warbirds. We have an ME 109 done with a Cox .051 r/c motor in it. We are going electric with the P-47 and FW 190. The motors we are using are 1811-2900 with 25A esc. Both have wingspans of 36 inches. What props should we use on them? Batteries will be 2 to 4 S Lipos. I think the planes run around 28 ounces or so. Thanks.

That motor designation means nothing to me. Do you have a link you can provide for the specs for the motor?

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...er_2900kv.html This is it. I will try it first on the FW 190 then the P-47. I do not want to use a gearbox if I don't have to. Thanks. sw

This the reason I asked for the link. Just read the specs. .

It tells you what prop to use: 6X3. S

ome of the people who posted their testing are using 5X3 and I would expect a 5X4 would work too.

Dimension: 23mm x 18mm, 31mm(with shaft)
Weight: 12g (kv2900) (not including connectors)
Diameter of shaft:F2mm
Length of front shaft:F8mm
Lamination thickness: .2mm
Magnet type: 45SH

Voltage: 7.4V
Amp: 5.8A
Thrust: 165g
Propeller: 6030
