I have been researching on planes and have found that companies seem to favor the EP SuperStar, yet around here they call the GWS Tiger Moth or Slow Stick the best. I was wondering if the EP SuperStar would be a good choice for a trainer, that will not only teach me but also be able;
1 Grow with me and introduce me to more advanced things later on.
2 Have a pretty good durability.
3 Do rolling take offs
4 Be easy to learn on since there are no clubs near me.
5 Not be to hard to build and get into the air.
6 Not break the bank.
7 Mildly good flight time.
Please notify me with any opinions you can because i have really no idea which plane to get
,thanks!!!!!

One consideration with the SuperStar is where you plan on flying it. It is not what I would consider a parkflyer. It is a large, heavy airplane compared to the TM and the SS.
If you are teaching yourself to fly and will fly in a park, I would highly recommend the Slow Stick. It seems to meet all of your criteria and has an excellent track record. Spare parts are inexpensive... you can buy a whole second kit for $35.

The Superstar EP, like any ideal first plane, is going to be limited in what it can do. You don't want a plane that doesn't give you so much capability that you're immediately in trouble as soon as you take off, especially if you're learning by yourself. It'll do loops, but it won't roll well due to the fact that it has no ailerons.
While it flies great on the stock system, it does have one major shortcoming: It's made of balsa and plywood. This is a plane that really needs an instructor to help you. Not that it's hard to fly, but as a newbie you will make mistakes. Balsa planes don't generally handle crashes very well...
Have you tried flying yet? It's amazing how fun it is to just putz around, especially when you're new to the hobby. Aerobatics are overrated
Now, don't knock the Slow Stick because it's just a stick with wings. You want a plane to learn on. By the time you've done a bit of "learning" on the plane it's gonna look like it was beat with an ugly stick anyway... You may as well start out that way, right?
The Slow Stick's bendy foam wing will take the brunt of most crashes, and keep the plane from sustaining mortal damage in most crashes. Plus, it's only $35. Buy two, they're cheap
You can replace the entire plane for about 1/3 the cost of a Superstar.
Don't bother with the Pico Stick. It's not on the same level as the Slow Stick. Much cruder, much smaller, less durable, same price.
