Default ELEVATOR FAILURE

Thanks in advance for your help.
I have lost elevator function on 3 different flights and 2 different receivers.
This is what I am using.
: Castle creations pheonix 25
: mp jet 25/35/25 motor
: etech 3 cell 1200 mah battery
: 4 Hitec hs 55 servos (2 on ail.)
: FMA 6 chanel receiver and FMA Quantum 8 receiver ( two seperate ocasions)

On 3 seperate flights , a couple minutes into the flight, my elevator would stop working. I put in new servo with no change.
After a few minutes the elevator would work but sporadicaly.

Any thoughts. Has this ever happened to you?

Default RE: ELEVATOR FAILURE

Are you saying that once elevator is "lost", that with keeping the same servo & receiver it is non-operational from that point on? If you turn the power off, it does not restore operation? Rudder and motor control operate with no problems?

Really a wierd one! []

Since you have tried changing out both the receiver and the servo, my only thought is with the Mp Jet 25/35. I have the 25/35/20 and it appears to draw 12-14 amps at WOT. Etec 1200s are good for 7-8 amps? Could pack voltage be being dropped here? Have you tried running with a NiMh or Nicad pack capable of handling more amps? I admit I'm just thinking out loud here.

Could the problem be in the radio transmitter? Probably not likely, but seems the only thing left unchecked.

Next time it happens, back on the ground, maybe swap the elevator and rudder servos at the receiver and see if the rudder stops working....
