Default radio problems!!

i have an electric hummingbird heli radio that i was gonna use on my electricub but when i plugged everything in the right stick servo for goin left or right glitches like crazy and barely reacts to any movment of the stick, i just got a new reciever because of that problem and it still doesnt work, if its broke for good are thier any radios that you can buy that have no recievers or servos, and will work with a futuba style reviever? thatx for you help. mikey

If it worked in the hummingbird, then it's highly unlikely that ANYTHING is broken, unless of course you dropped, smashed or mangled something during the transfer.

Make sure the servos are plugged in correctly. If you plug them in backwards, they will glitch like that. Re-seat the crystal. Try disconnecting the main battery and using a standard receiver pack if you have one. Try powering the receiver from the hummingbird's speed control.

IIRC, the Hummingbird has an el-cheapo radio option that's a cheap AM unit. Are you sure it's "Futaba compatible" as in FM? Are you using the Hummingbird's receiver, or did you buy an additional one?

If any component needs replacing, it can be purchased separately. You can custom order a radio set with just the transmitter from most hobby shops.

You should've sent it back under warranty.

Sounds like it is indeed the transmitter that's the problem. You can get a Hitec transmitter fairly inexpensively at www.hobbyhorse.com.
