I am rebuilding an airplane that crashed. The front of the plane was destroyed in the crash and subsequent fire. The motor seems too heavy for 2 screws β is there a stronger way to mount a motor than that? Is there a way to support the back end of the motor that wonβt be affected by the heat from the motor? I was thinking of using a dowel as a cross member under the back part of the motor β would it get too hot if the motor rested on it?

If it's getting hot enough to burn wood, you have bigger problems than just finding a sturdy mount for your motor. That's way too hot.
Front-mounting the motor with two screws should be more than adequate. It sounds like you need to reinforce the mounting plate on that airplane. If you use plywood anywhere on an electric airplane, it should be on the motor mounting plate. Too flimsy? Use thicker plywood. Reinforce with tri stock as necessary.
