Requesting recomendations for an electric substitute, geared of direct for the TD .010.

Say it ain't so! You're converting, too? I always wanted an .010, but it looks like that ain't gonna happen without a miracle now.

Depending on the airframe involved, I'd guess you want to be somewhere between 10-25 watts. If you want to keep it on the cheap, the geared LPS systems from GWS are worth a look for a slower floaty type plane, they come in a couple different flavors depending on the motor type and voltage rating used. For a speedier airframe, a direct drive IPS motor would be a good cheap option, spinning a 3x2 or 3x3 on 2S lipos. There are a few brushless options for both geared and DD setups available from Medusa and Feigao as well. Take a look at www.bphobbies.com for the GWS and Feigao lines at a good price. I have used and like the Medusa 12mm 4000kv motor, but it's a little harder to find. Good luck and let us know what you come up with.

Give us the all up weight of your current setup and style of flying. Slow with ability to Loop, Fast screeming, or straight up vertical. Might as well tell us the plane also.
