I recently picked up an Aveox 1114/4y and EZ30 controller set up. However the motor seems to be behaving strangly. I have the motor all wired up with the coloured wires all soldered etc yellow and blue are straightforward and I take it that the dark orange wire goes with the red wire from the motor. I am testing this of a seven cell 1100 sub c pack I have for a twinjet. When I power up the motor (I have to set the throttle channel in reverse as it says in the instructions to get the right stick movement with Futaba TX). The LED will light red which is normal indicating the lowest throttle point, then when I increase the throttle stick the motor gets quicker till it reaches a point and then it cuts out, it then starts and stops in a pattern every second or so it stops then powers up for about 2 seconds. If I increase the throttle to full on the engine will rev faster (and again the red LED lights to indicate full throttle which is normal) but it still keeps starting and stopping. Have you any ideas what could be causing this. . Also although the positive and minus wires are attached correctly to the battery the motor spins in pusher thrust is this normal..........Any help would be greatly appreciated.............Neal

I suspect that your Motor was timed to run in Reverse, and possibly timed incorrectly too. Visit the Aveox Web site and check the specs on the Motor. It will also tell you how to time the Motor correctly.

I suspect that your battery pack will not deliver the current required, the voltage is dropping below BEC, and shutting off. When the battery voltage recovers, the cycle starts over.

Cheers Les, i think you have hit the nail on the head, i was trying to run this of eight cell AA 1600 zagi batteries but they obviously cant deliver enough current. When i run it off Sanyo 2400 subc 7 cells it goes like crazy. I have it earmarked for a Zagi so i am guessing i will need to go and bouy some seven cell 4/5 subc 1300mah packs. Can anyone recommend a prop for this motor, i currently have a 5x5 on it but havnt a clue what amps thrust etc it is pulling. I am new to all this and any help would be appreciated
