does anyone know how to control a servo using a circuit. i want to integrate this into my A level electronics project.
at th emoment i know that of the 3 wires going into the servo, red is +ve, black is -ve and the blue is the controling wire
if i touch the control wire to 5v i can make it twitch but never any control. i believe controlling it is to do with the number of pulses going through the control wire
anyone got any ideas?>
cheers

Go to [link=http://www.google.com]Google[/link] and search for servo control circuit. You'll find several simple circuits that will do what you want.

Yes, Servos are interesting because you have to keep telling a servo over and over what its position should be. That is how it knows to keep moving until it reaches its desired destination.... its also why it fights for position when it is "still"... if you take your finger and try to move the servo horn it will fight against you and move back... that is because the circuit is constantly telling the servo where it needs to be.... at least this is how I understand it to work. Google is probably your best bet.
