Thats the same plane I used when I decided to get back into the hobby.I took a 10yr break and flew the 182 no problem. Its a fun little plane.I was told not to fly it in anything more than a slight breeze but as I got my confidance back I flew it in some strong wind.If you are flying off grass I would suggest you remove the landing gear....that was the first thing to go.Its a tough little plane.....and when I did crash most repairs were done with foam safe CA and a kicker.

I found the plane to be very underpowered. I bought 3 of them from Towers scratch and dent section $150 for all 3. the first one wouldnt take off so I hand launched it couldnt get any altitude and a 20mph gust took it from us. I took the second one and cut the motormount and mounted a 2408 outrunner ($11) and my helimax brushless esc that I pulled out of my GWS Estarter and kept the 7 inch prop and with 11.1v lipo it screams. I lifted off in a few feet but with the wind blowing I brought it back in. But the power is outrageouse now. I cut it up last night to add a sterrable nose wheel and drove it around the house last night and it works perfect. I need to add weight to the front and will let you know what it doese when I fly it this weekend.

Hi Kobijust, I bought one from Tower S&D. My question. The manual does not show exactly where or how to install the battery. any help is appreciated.
Thanks, Jerry

The battery slides in the bottom. a little tight but will fit. I cut out the inside to fit a 1500mah 3s lipo. should be a white battery door and put oone end through and slide it back then snap the door back on. I will try to post some pics of my mods and part numbers that turns it into a beast. havnt flown it in a while but looking at rebuilding it soon. Good luck email me at [email protected] if you need and info

i recently got one myself. I got it all built up and now just waiting for the right day to fly it. Ive been reading alot of forums concering this plane and ive been hearing that the motor is really weak for this plane. i plan on upgrading the motor and ESC. i also protected the leading edges and the cowl of the plane with light, tough packing tape. hopefully that will keep it in tack for a little bit longer. i finished the bubild last night and will post some pics soon, and hopefully a successful first flight!!!
