I recently purchased four of these servos (HS-5065MG) and there garbage. Two of the four are so weak they stall out just by touching the surfaces. They will seem to work on the ground , but get them in the air and watch out they will just stop as if stalled out. I found this out when my Sebart 30E katana would not respond. and felt very mushy. when I landed (first flight) I noticed the servos would barely move . and had no strength at all.
Any one else having problems with this servo????

actually there not ok . if a digital servo is rated at 31oz and 4 oz will stall it something is wrong, and your NOT getting what you paid for. you need to keep in mind it's on a 40oz plane

With Horizon ??????
I know they distribute some HiTec servos but isn't the the real warranty source Mike Mayberry at Hitec RCD USA, Inc. in Poway, CA as they represent HiTec ___ The Factory ___?.
No criticism intended it simply seems like the long way around.

your correct. When I finally got someone on the phone . that's what they told me as well. I called Hitec and they admited to seeing some problems with this servo . They asked me to send in my brand new servos for maybe a month, and they will repair them. I have tried to return them to the LHS and they refused. I'm sorry but this sucks!!!! I paid $200.00 with tax for (4) brand new servos and now my only option is to send them back for a month.
do not buy these pieces of garbage!!!!!!!!!!

While I have never used HiTec equipment I have read much about their service levels and what you describe is the opposite of that which I have read.
Go here: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/pmse...?toMemId=24473
And email Mike Mayberry directly.
I'm guessing that Mike's response will be quite different from that which you have received.

It's a new product, that still has some bugs to be worked out. I think they should have offered to swap them out. and not make me wait for the autopsy report. lol

I had my fill of Hi Tec over 6 of 10 surface radios failing within 15 minutes of use. Their solution. I did something wrong. Crap.
They were for a childrens program. I had at that time 6 other radios with no failures.
Their Featherlie receivers were factory rejects also. "Being to rough plugging in and removing the channel plugs." More crap.
I do not got to bed with the same snake 3 times.

Mandtra.
If you paid by a credit card. Call the CC company and tell them you want your money back from Hi Tec. They WILL normally go along with a refund in such out right fraud. You still got nailed for shipping & insurance by HI Tec ?

yes i paid to ship the servos back to Hitec. i would not be surprised though, if they say nothing is wrong with them. they will work for a few minutes before they get hot and quit. this is not ny first problem with Hitec . I had a problem with a Multiplex charger and they would not do anything about it either. and Horizon my brand new JR 9103 2.4 TX went out on me last month and I had to pay to have it fixed as well. I have no faith in any of these guys. well DA has been good to me. Sorry to be so negative , but I do not forget easily when I get screwed

I just tell the truth about bad deals I have had with hobby companies at parties.
Heck. I just like treating a company the way they treat me.

You are certainly giving him the benefit of the doubt.
However, if you will go to post #5 here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=995842
It indicates that he answered posts on RCG today!
Doesn't do much for bolstering your opinion on HiTec does it?
