Default binding problem

Been flying indoors this winter no problems. This past Weekend we had about 15 flyers in our gym all on 2.4 ghz. With 8 or 10 planes in the air (normal), I tried to bind my MCX helicopter with a fully charged battery. The led went solid on the reciever, instead of blinking, as it should in the bind mode. My transmitter was off. Unplugged and plugged in battery several times with no success on binding.
Each time the battery was plugged in some motion was detected in the MCX, one time about half speed on the rotor blades.
Waited until no one was flying, tried binding again, it worked perfectly.
This happened to another pilot also.
Anyone had any similar experiences.

I have always bound my models at home away from everyone else.
I wouldn't think it is a good idea to bind with all those other 2.4ghz planes around.

That's fine if you have one transmitter for each plane. Bind and fly means you can use one transmitter to control several models.
I think you have to bind each model as you fly it.
I am flying 3 planes with 1 transmitter.

No you do not have to rebind everytime.
If you have the DX5e, then bind all your planes to it, then when ready to fly one of them, turn the radio on first, wait a few seconds then plug in the battery into your plane and it should be ready to fly.
I have the DX6i and I am already almost out of Model Memory[X(]
