Default ESC question

Hi

I'm planning on using a Q80 14XS on my next project, but can't decide which ESC to go with. what would be better option Master Mezon 95 or Master Spin 99 Pro?

The problem will be getting one I can't find one anywhere in the US. I would like a Spin Pro 77 or 99 but no luck.

Anyone have a good used Spin or Spin Pro they would part with ?

Thanks Kirk

The Mezon is the new line of controllers that were designed for the newer Hacker motors. The Spin's work fine, but the Mezon's right now are as nice an ESC as I've seen. I use the Mezon 90 and love the BEC feature that is built in as it gives me redundancy without any special equipment. Very easy to program and is very smooth.

I've got a virtually new 77, but it and almost all my RC stuff is in boxes in the basement since I moved a couple of months ago and my new "shop" isn't done yet so they've not been unpacked. If you can't find something at Aero-Model, PM me and I'll go look through some boxes and see what I can find...

For what it's worth my Wind S Pro has the 99, but it will get replaced by the Mezon Arch is talking about along with a new Q80-13XS when my friend who still has his shop gets around to it... lol

You MAY want to consider the Mezon if you can get it?

Mezon is great. I have a Jeti xmitter, too, and telemetry is set up to that the xmitter speaks the mAh at regular intervals. Also, I can see the battery voltage at the start of a flight, so if I were to put in a battery that is not charged, I can tell right away.

The Jet Mezon 90 and 90 lite are less expensive than the Hacker version of the controller and are both in stock here. Spin 99 right now a little tough to find unfortunately right now. Hopefully there will be more soon.

I've got the same setup and it works great. It is very important not to take off with a low battery. I used to have a small meter in the plane just for that purpose. With the Jeti it is built into the system. You can also setup alarms so you are notified when you get to 4000 mAh for example. The Mezon with the BEC also solves half of the redundant battery setup. So far I'm impressed with the Jeti stuff.
