Maiden follow-up
Did go back to BJ's 120mm CG after one of my Master's friends flew it. A nice white Xoar 16x12 PJN came in the mail today from Esprit. That's on for the next flights tomorrow!
Guys, this is a seriously nice ride! It has a highly visible color scheme and a solid feel in the air; yet it's a little more nimble, just like a smaller airframe should be, like a hot sports car.

For those inquiring about the Nuance 70 it has been opened up for a presale.

I have a small amount due on the 25th and shipping should be on the 28th after my return from the Nationals.
If there's anything anyone needs to pick up at the Nats let me know I'll bring it and save the shipping costs.
I'll have a few each of the F70 and the Axiome 70's with combo's to go along with them. Just let me know.
Thanks, Mike Mueller

Got 3 more flights with the APC 16x12 earlier in the week and that's the right pitch for my Nacho' (was rained out at home field last night and tonight after work so slow going here).

Welcome, no not yet. Was at the Nats this past week and only brought the 2m to Muncie. The bigger Fantasista was being delivered to a customer by Mike of F3AU and boy was that tempting! I just recently sold all my 8S ARFs & packs so will stick with the 70 size for now LOL! I learned that Oxai put out a 2m Fantasista some time ago but that is now discontinued.

Well we had some terrific flying weather this past week, so I got out a few times after work with my Natcho and Nuance. I'm getting more comfortable with the visual presentation of the Fantasista 70 so am now flying it through this year's Intermediate sequence (and the 2015 proposal on the Nuance). Who knows, I may just fly it at the last local contest of the season just for fun! It's totally capable of winning pattern contests, just fly it in a little bit closer (but not that much lol). One of the veteran classic pattern guys at the field was admiring both BJ Craft and may be getting into a Nuance 70 he said; he just couldn't decide to go glow with it or electric (he likes both but is a builder at heart). He spent a long time admiring the Fantasista 70 workmanship. The value for the money is really amazing and I'm so glad I got my Natcho' on!

Thanks Dana.
I've asked BJ about doing a 2 meter Fantasista. Who knows we can hope.
I still have one of the Fantasista 120's left. We built and delivered one at the Nats for a customer. The plane is stunning!
The Nuance 70's arrived today. they have the same quality construction of the F-70.

Yes and no.
I just happen to really like the Fantasista that's why I hope to see a 2 meter version that's affordable soon. In fact we are getting a different Akiba design in early Fall called the passion Biplane. It would seem to me that BJ and Akiba have a good relationship. I think they compliment each other well.

Total length 2000mm
Wingspan 1730mm

Horizontal tail Flying tail specification
It has adopted a total merit, such as the front and rear balance by adopting a flying tail of the most demanding electric biplane of weight.
It prevents rattling by a longer axis-to-axis is adopted bearing to the rotating shaft, of course.
It has also been adopted in Fantasista.
I decided to lower the wing issues a rigidity as four screws, the upper blade also prevent shaking as screws.
I have a carbon shapes the majority of the upper and lower body in order to also give a rigidity lightly

I wondered what a Fantasista was.
Wiki had it. It's a Japanese thing

danamania and ltc, would you mind taking a quick measurement of the height of the 70 and 120 sizes, please? From the ground to the top of the canopy, and from the ground to the top of the turtledeck area near mid-fuselage. Just trying to see if I can stuff one of these in my car.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Fantasista 120 size, Ground up measurements sitting on wheels....
To top of canopy: 17.25"
To top of canalyzer: 17.25"
To top trailing edge of rudder: 17.75"
To top of turtleneck, about halfway between rear of canopy and beginning of vertical fin: 14.5"
FWIW, I can put the plane into a VW Golf 2 door, if I move the passenger seat all the way forward with a little work. However, it fits much better in my bride's Ford Excursion
Let me know if you want additional measurements....

Thanks, ltc! That helps me a lot. My Hyperion Helios 90 is about the limit for my car (Mazda 6 sedan). My seats fold flat, but there's a cross-member that cuts into the available vertical space at the pass through area. I'll check the measurements to see if it may work.

Good idea about removing the gear. I wonder how quickly I would get tired of that. Hmm... if there was a way to engineer a quick-release gear.
I was looking into the available space my car has, and realized a lot of the problem is that the seat backs don't fold fully flat. This causes the tail of the plane to rise as I slide it into the trunk area, then the turtle deck hits on the car's crossmember area. I examined the rear seat's lower cushion, and discovered that it comes out very easily. I took the entire lower seat out, now the seats fold beyond flat! This allows the tail of the plane to go down quite a bit, opening up lots more room. I just may be able to get a 2m in there now! I can't wait to see if my friends Prolog will fit. This opens up many new possibilities, and makes way for emptying the wallet

My Natcho' drew a lot of compliments from the club members and while I didn't fly it, I did take first place with my 2m Nuance in 402. (Contest was too tight with my closest competitor to fly anything new.)

Congrats on the 1st in Intermediate!
I'd still love to see the measurements for the height of the 70 at its highest point, plus the height of the tail. I'm sure it'll fit, but I'm curious. Thanks!

Dana,
Did you install a rear motor support?
The reason I ask is that there have been a couple of incidents of BJ Craft 70 size planes having the front/nose ring mount motor break free in flight; one on a Nuance and one on a Fantasista

I was impressed with the fit & finish of the laser cut parts supplied with the Fantasista 70 and went with the supplied firewall for the A50-12S: It just looked like the easiest and best way to go for my Natcho.
