Default Separate Pattern and Electric Pattern forums still required?

What is the point of having two forums?
I propose that they be merged.

I can see that there was a need for a dedicated Electric Pattern forum when electric drives were new to pattern a decade ago. Now electrics is main stream. Two different forums confuse more than provide value.

Any support for this?
RCU supervisors point of view?

I agree, combining the two would be nice.

Considering the total number of posts (at least recently) between the two is pretty small. I read both, though I only fly glow; CPLR and BW are my heroes :-).

I also think that merging would be useful.

Does it take a Moderator or an Admin to do it?

At this point, I agree... Not really much traffic on either one, so merging makes it easier to troll.

If you were to merge, where would the merged thread be. You will have unhappy people no mater what.

My two cents. Keep it separate. Time will solve the issue.

In the RCU section for models that rely on wings for lift?

Electric, in general, is no longer a small niche that needs to be kept in a separate corner, out of sight of the Good Ol' Boys.

Honestly, it really doesn't matter one way or the other. I look at both forums every day. Not much traffic on either one, thus my reason for merging. It really isn't that big of a deal.

That's why they shouldn't be merged.

Yes exactly. Electric flyers always try to convert IC flyers to electric, but IC don't push their views onto electric.

I have no idea why anyone thinks merging is a benefit. As it is, if you want to see IC stuff, you go to that section and vice versa with electric. It's not that hard.....
