Default AXI 5330?

Is there any maintenance required with this motor? I am now on flight number 22, and the Integral and motor continue to be great.

Robert ....zero, zip, nada, nothing to do but fly. I think Dave S. has 100 plus on his motor and he has not had to do anything at all.

Robert thats the nice thing with these just go fly I've got over 150 flights on the 5320 and had about the same on the 5330. If it needs anything it has a 3 year warranty.

I'm flying a Axi 5330/18 for two years ( over 200 flights ) now and the only thing I did was clean the motor with compress air. Last year during my " regular " maintenance I found 2 magnets became loose. I glued it back in place and replaced the bearings because of the salt air on this island.

Beside that only charge and fly

I have also had great luck with my 5330/F3A but I have a question. If you replaced the bearings, how did you get it apart?

thanks

Hello Mr Atwood

Last year the motor started to make some strange noise. Saw through the opening that 2 magnets where not straight.

there is a c clip attached to the shaft which I removed and using a rubber hammer knocked the shaft from the rotor open

Inside you'll see 3 small bearing which I replaced 2 of them.

Now it's sitting on my new Integral ( slightly bit overweight though with just normal acces) but still overpowered

My 5330/FAI's have worked well. I did have one last year that I had to send back to Hobby Lobby because it had started to be very noisy. I thought either a magnet was getting loose or a bearing was going bad. Anyway, they replaced it. I probably have close to 100 flights on the replacement and things are doing well. It seems to be a very good motor and Hobby Lobby provided good customer service.
