RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
For those in the US who have been waiting for some to arrive, there will be 7 Wind S Pro ARFs finally available in the US as of this afternoon. (4 base white and 3 blue scheme).

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
Hi,
I recently took delivery of a Wind S Pro in the blue/red scheme from the new batch of models, where they have done a few small changes compared to the first batch. The anti rotation pins in the wings are now carbon instead of aluminium. The undercarriage has been painted differently on the blue/red version. There might be other changes as well, but I don't have a first batch model to compare with.
Here are my kit weights:
Fuselage w. canopy: 950 grams
Rudder: 75 grams
Right wing panel: 376 grams
Left wing panel: 370 grams
Wing tube: 113 grams
Right tail plane: 108 grams
Left tail plane: 101 grams
Tail tube with aluminium pin: 14 grams
Fixed gear: 185 grams
Wheel pants: 37 grams
A few pictures...

Yep, thats the one she likes But I'm content with the blue one. My plan is to get a white one later this fall and finish it in my scheme, assuming I like the plane.

I heard Jesky flew one. I'd be interested in his opinion.

Jeff,
Right now, the biggest motivation is lack of options for glow planes. Yes there are a few out there, but many more electrics. I still have some YS stuff and will hang on to it, but I'm anxious to fly the electrics and see what I think. Working with Chris Moon is great, especially since he is only a little over an hour away. Going to be a learning curve, but I'm excited to try it and see what I think.
The YS stuff is still a definitely viable option, but the options for airframes has drastically shrunk, especially with Mike no longer making kits.

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
My new wind S pro should be here in September, it flew extremely well and I was very happy with the performance of the airplane. I really liked the mid wing setup of the airplane. It presented very good in the air and snaps were very predictable. I had mine setup with the Q80 and the Ice 80HV setup and it really was very powerful.

Hi Andrew,
I will be using the Hacker Q80 and CC ICE 80HV setup in my Wind S Pro as well. It would be a great help if you could publish the ESC settings you are running with this motor?
Thanks.

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
Hi Andrew,
Thanks, that would be great.
I have not completed the mounting yet, but so far I have installed a plywood spacer in the front to get the motor back for the thrust washer to be in the correct position. It needs to be moved back approx. 9mm so I used two pieces of 5mm ply glued together that were sanded slightly to get the correct thrust lines. I have also sanded it in a conical shape to save weight and get a larger glueing surface to the nose of the aircraft. I plan on installing a rear support in 3mm plywood with a 8mm carbon tube going into the rear bearing, but I have not come to that yet.
A few photos.

RE: Sebart Wind S Pro
Nonstoprc,
No, they were made in an effort to save a little weight, but the weight difference was negligible. These holes are inside the diameter of the front housing of the motor, so they will not contribute to cooling. I plan on making some elongated holes further outwards to allow a little air in through the spinner, however I don't think the Q80 is as difficult to cool as many other out-runners since it has a larger diameter, meaning that it will not be completely hidden behind the spinner.

Hi Morten,
Just received my kit one week ago, 2 months waiting..........
It is very light and well made for the price, what do you think about the hinges supplied in the kit, did you used or changed for Robart?
Best Regards
Luis
