Default NEW!! Delro composite line

Delro Modelltechnik (exclusive distributor in US : F3A Unlimited) offers a new composite line of high end F3A models!
Since the japanese designed ADDICTION, I believe to know, why this nation is very successful since many, many years in F3A. My answer is simple: these guys know, how to built a perfect F3A model!
But these original japanese built models, full constructed in wood, are a work of art and very, very expensive and not really available outside Japan.
In the meantime, any of these famous japanese designers let built here own designs alternative in wage work made in conventional technology (balsa sheeted foam wings and glass sandwich fuselage) or full composite. (Delro, Oxai and other).
Through these wage workers, many customers could buy now original japanese designed models with here outstanding flight performance.
In my opinion, a full lacquered model is without alternative at high end models.
But a conventional technology make a full lacquered and lightweight finish expensive, because it´s a lot of work.
This was the basic to think about full composite technology; also because this technology have advantages.

Delro is proud to have a new cooperation partner and could offer now exclusive for Europe and US the composite versions of any famous japanese designs.
The electrified Jupiter is a special modified version of the famous YS-powered “Voyage” from Mr. Masato; the “Pegasus” is the design of another top five japanese pilot Mr. Hatta. As next design will follow the “Opium” from German national team member G. Uhlsamer).
Because these famous designers and Delro give here good name for these products you could be sure, that quality is the best! All products of the Delro composite line are special produced and quality checked! And you have the wellknown excellent Delro-service with a longtime guaranty of sparparts!
The electrified Jupiter and Pegasus and the YS-powered Voyage are available in full composite immediately, the “Opium” (new version 2010) will follow at the end of this season.

After three years with the Addiction; I decide to fly by myself the Jupiter this season.
As I get the first model; I was really impressed about the quality!
Lightweight, good composite technology and excellent finish; full outside painted with polished clear laquer! These models looks so nice as the original japanese built models!!
And the best: the price is really very attractive and you could get each ( I mean each!!) personal colorscheme with a little add. price ( 150-300 US dollar). All is possible! Please have a look at my personal Jupiter; the basic were only two pictures of another japanese model, which colorscheme I love very much.
The flightweight of my Jupiter with 8s TopFuel 4500 mAh and Hacker Acro competition XL 11W is 4630 grams!
I fly a new prop 19x14 ( Hatta special) and please believe, if I had not a better performance and the same power as 10s, I would fly 10s! The max. are 75 A at 5850 rpm.
Short to the flight performance:
The Jupiter flies s o o o o o smooth and handle each (!!) maneuver very easy. I am enthusiastic! Thanks to Mr. Masato, Delro and the guys from the new department ( only responsible for these high end F3A models) of the production company.
I am sure, this new Delro composite line with one of the best designed and built high end F3A models will be a great success in future .
Hope, you love the design!

Best regards

Ausgezeichnet!

Ich liebe mein E-Motion, und Ich denke Ich werde auch ein Jupiter lieben.

When do you think they will be available in the US? Do you know if the Plettenberg 30-10 is a good fit in the nose as well, and why do the Europeans still love those noisy, grease eating inrunners?

Beautiful plane with incredible clean building. Can't wait to see one in person!

Chris, are you setting up one of the new Delro's for 8s? It would be interesting to see the lighter 8s set-up on a 2 meter ship in comparison to the 10s setups we currently run.

Retail pricing for the USA only:

Jupiter and Pegasus in standard color scheme is $3395
The stock color scheme is in post #5 - the red/white/blue scheme
optional personal color schemes are $150 -$350 depending on difficulty

Either plane can be delivered with your choice of motor beams for an inrunner (Hacker C50 or New F3A) or a firewall for outrunners.

Factory authorized intro pricing for the Jupiter and Pegasus is $2995 until June 15th. Delivery time is 5-6 weeks for these orders. Full payment at time of order for these intro prices. Additional shipping charges from Virginia to your location billed at shipping time.

Hi Bruno,

What is the flight duration of with the 8S 4500mAh? Since the model came light would you try higher capacity for increasing flight time when practicing? I am asking because I would be interested in at least 8,5 to 9 minutes of flying. eg. practicing P schedule and then some maneuvers. Not many pilots have used this setup, but according to Andrew Jesky (I read another thread) performs quite well.

Is the Hata prop the same as the latest Carbon by Delro? Is their mold based on the Hata prop? I guess that in windy conditions the 19 inch would perform a lot better than 21???

Final question I noticed that the battery is not fastened with velcro straps but with a carbon rod attached on a robart hinge. How does this system work really? Does it provide flexibility to use packs of other physical dimensions? You probably use the same on Addiction???

Sorry for making so many questions...but there is always a reason behind...

Thanks in advance,
Nikos

Default RE: NEW!! Delro composite line

Hello Nikos,

I fly with 8s drive set and 4500 mAh TF 20C a motor running time of 8 minutes. After this time, I never need max. 3500 mAh in P11/F11. mso I have a rest capacity of approx. 20 % at the batterie for a longer life.
The 8s drive set have with APC 21x13W or Delro 19x14 5750 rpm; that´s approx. 200 rpm less then the 14XL. I prefer the Delro because I think, it´s over all
(performance at each wind conditions, handling) the best prop for Hacker competition 8s and 10s (14XL).
But you have a much lighter model, because 8s save approx. 250 grams! Over all, you have the feeling of a little more power. Please believe, if I had the feeling, that 10s are better, I would fly 10s.
Add. you can change at storm-conditions with 8s to 35 or 45 C batteries, which give a lot of more power again . With 10 cells, this change is not possible because of weight limit at the very most models.
To get 9 minutes motor running time with 8s drive sets, you should go to 5000mAh batteries; the Top Fuel 20C 5000 mAh is only 60 grams heavier like the 4500mh. The slightly better tension voltage under load should eliminate this 60 grams more weight with the same felling of power.

The batterie fixing ( please have a look at any older attachment-pictures to learn the system) is a very nice, very proven and lightweight solution. But it´s not flexible for different size of batteries.
