As you can see from patternflyer1 post, his Jeti 99 has a large black finned alum heat sink on the ESC which aids in disappating heat as you load the ESC. The Jeti Spin 75 (and it's predecessor, the Jeti 77) do not have a finned heat sink, it is just has an aluminum plate which doesn't disappate heat as well during warmer weather. We have been adding an aluminum heat sink (Radio Shack) to the 77 and it handles warmer weather just fine. I will do the same to my 75 before the weather warms up.

PS On the cutting out issue you mentioned, the Spin series controllers have about every setting in the controller being adjustable. I wonder if people are not resetting their LVC (low voltage cutoff) to a low enough setting and the controller is shutting off the motor at a higher voltage setting than expected. If my memory serves correctly, the default setting on my Spin 75 was higher than I normally run which would have meant I would be going into LVC about 2/3 of the way thru the flight. Just a thought

Mine is just a Jeti 90 Don. I'm still old school. :D Not enough dollars for a spin yet. Plus, I just haven't seen the need yet.

Okay, I've been redirected to this thread and I'd like to ask a few questions. I fly Intermediate and have Chip's old Genesis (his personal one) with a Hacker C50-13XL and Hacker 90 master controller. It flies great and can go straight up at half throttle so I'm not hurting for power or anything like that. I'd just like to know what is "coming down the pipe" for pattern fliers this season or the next. It seems there are a bunch of new outrunners out there like the AXI and Pletti. How are you mounting them? What about Hacker? Are there 60's not enough oomph? or do they weigh too much? I'm presently using TP 5300's and they have plenty of capacity. They do get a little warm at the end of the flight but we're only putting about 2700mah back in, so I know we're not stressing them. Thanks in advance for your "crystal ball". John
