Very nice Steve, I should have mine going in 2 weeks. All I like is mounting the motor and wings.
I am out of town working, or it would be in the air tomorrow.

Todd, you are way faster at building than I am. I was joking with Jon Carter at the Lancaster contest this past weekend. It takes me forever to build a real ARF. Heck, even just bolting in servos is a major ordeal.[&:] I'll get home from work, eat, go to the garage and stare at it for a while. Then I'll measure, measure, scratch my head, measure some more and finally cut or glue something in. Then I clean up the bench and go to bed. If I get one thing done a day I am ecstatic.

Just got my Visa. No pics yet, but I will tell you this much, it looks fantastic!!!!!! What a great paint job. Looks like an F-1 racer. Very clean and well polished. Can't feel the paint lines. Great job!

I will get weights and pictures up over the next couple days. The workmanship exceeded my expectations. Thanks Chip and Marcelo, and the whole team at CA. I look forward to a great season flying the Passport and Visa.

Glens wings all paint are equal to the lightest we have had. Not sure if the picture shows it but they are really flat no dimples. Now its off to fly some jets as this weekend is the big jet event down here. I spent all day yesterday practicing with a Scorpion and had a blast.

Pics after the event

Can some one from CA MODEL tell me when I am goin to receive my plane?

Passport1 04-06-2010 07:32 AM

RE: CA Models VISA

I have been here now for close to 3 months and I and very surprised by your comment. To my knowledge you have not ordered anything. I do remember coming down here though and trying to help you with your edge order but then that changed to an Onas and when I told you it would be a week or so(putting you at the front of a long line) you canceled that too and then wanted my Visa. I agreed to that but you changed your mind again so Marcelo refunded your money. At that time we were making the switch to producing just high end pattern models so I sold all the edges to a local friend. I am sorry if you might be confused but I am sure I can find all of your emails documenting everything if you would like me to.

Chris Moon is now the distributor and I know he has some planes in stock if you would like to go that route or you can order through us like everyone else has and we will let you know when your pattern plane will arrive. THERE ARE NO MORE 40% EDGES though

RE: CA Models VISA

Chip -

Do you have any pictures of how you have your speed controller mounted in the fuse? Also, tell me about any ducting that you feel is necessary for cooling the motor. I saw one pic where it looks like you have ducting over the top of the motor.....anything to deflect the air from the front intakes upward over the motor? I am also assuming that the air ducts in the rear of the fuse are all the exit holes that are needed and no additional ones should be cut out, correct?

Thanks. Plane is moving along great. I am very pleased with the quality!
