Default I CANNOT TAKE OFF..PLEASE HELP!!!

hello all,

I am new to RC helis and now own a Hummingbird Electric. The problem is when I throttle up the Heli first vibrates then begins to spin but WILL NOT TAKE OFF. It won't leave the ground one inch.

Also, I start with the throttle stick/right stick in the down position and slowly move it up to gradually increase thrust/rotor speed. But when the stick reaches the half way point or so that it is pointing straight up the engine just stops??!! Is this normal?? How do I adjust this???

Sounds like a dead battery. Stopping when it gets below 5 volts.
Make sure the fly bar paddles are lever and flat. And lever to eachother.

Hmmm...are the flybars supposed to be loose? If not..how do I tighten them??? No visible screw.
