[color=#000099]I know this has been answered before, BUT, I have a new aerohawk - electric. I am starting to learn how to fly. The heli keeps drifting left/forward no matter how much I trim the servos. Any help would be great.[:@]

make sure your swash plate is level on all axis, but these lil birds do tend to drift towards the lift anyways. . . if you throttle up too slow your bird will be drifting all over the place. . . you kinda hafta find a happy medium between throttling up too slow or too fast and apply some right cyclic while you throttle up in order to compensate for the left drift.

Thanks, I will try to tweak again. Just seems like the nutral position for the servo is too high, and does not go down far enough.

I have found the easiest way to adjust my trims and balance the bird is to hold it and throttle up stightly. You will instantly see which way it pulls and can trim or balance accordingly.

Thanks for the tip garlicbreath. I held the heli and looked at the swashplate. It is slightly tipping forward even with the trim all the way down. Even when I pull down on the tx the swash plate barelt tips back enough to go below parallel. Is it possible to tweek the servo itself? I think if I could just start the servo a fraction lower than it is now I can fix the problem.

You can get some 1mm Piano wire & make yourself a shorter servo arm
or
you can unscrew the servo arm & reposition it
BEFORE you do that
Disconnect everything & check the angular travel of the arm
they are supposed to be centered
You can buy adjustable servo arms, but I've been bending a few different sizes

Hi All
The simplest way to do it is to unplug the motors, turn on the transmiter then plug in the heli battery. Check that your trim tabs are centered on your TX. this should give you the center position on the servos. Then unplug the battery again before you work on it. If the swashplate is not level then unscrew the servo arm and replace it so that the swashplate is level. You might find that it is not exact because the spacing teeth on the servo arm and shaft don't mesh at exactly the right position for a level Swash so just get it as close as possible and then use the trim to do the rest.
Any vibrations means something is not balanced properly, find it and fix it cause the Aerohawk will fly much better.
I hope this helps

Hey all, Thanks for the tips. I fixed the servo proplem. However, It is vibrating. I am going to try and make sure everything is level and do some more tweaking. Hope all is well and i can't wait to get some hover action here soon.
