Default Heli Practice Tip

If you're somewhat new to helicopters and could use a little practice flying, then I have a great idea...
This will make it so you aren't stalled for battery charging and you can spend more time practicing...

1. Get an AC/DC adaptor that has an output voltage and current about the same as your battery
2. Make sure it has a long cord
3. Cut off the end of the adaptor and strip the wires about 1/2 an inch
4. Take the leads on your heli that go from the power supply into the reciever and bend one in half
5. Make a tiny cut at the top of the bend so you end up having a small stripped portion of the wire without cutting it
6. Do the same to the other lead
7. Wrap the adaptor wires around their corresponding lead at the cut, making sure you have good contact
8. Plug the adaptor into an extension cord to give you some extra length

There you have it, a temporarily tethered helicopter so you can practice all you want without having to recharge any batteries...enjoy

I wanna see some 3D video

That's not a bad idea for a micro indoor flight. Beats waiting for the charger to get done.

well i did it but it hasn't worked very well for me...
don't get scared off, it doesn't work well because my tail motor is burned out, so i have to hold the tail boom
as for lift, it definitely works great

will send videos as soon as my motor comes

The power supply must have enough currect capacity to be able to work for this. I would say something in the +5A range. The supplied wall pack chargers are usually rated at less than 1A and thus not suitable.

The other problem is that these helis are designed for flight times that coincide with the battery life. If you use a LIPO for extended flight or find some way to plug into power, remember that the heli should rest every 15 minutes or so. Longer flight and hot flight will shorten the life of motors, brushes etc.
