Default Advice Please...

Ok Guys bear with me here. Ive just purchased a Futaba FF7 (T7CAP) and the Trex 450x Brushless combo with futaba receiver, i expect i should be able to get this pair running ok together (correct me if i'm wrong).

However i also have a Honey Bee CP, which i would like to try and work from my Futaba FF7, i havent totally got to grips with all the Jargon and different flight setups. Could anyone tell me what electrical components i would need to fly my HB 2 with the Futaba controller and what the setup layout would be like?

I'm guessing i would need to put in these new components
1. Receiver
2.Speed control for main motor
3.Speed control for Tail
4.Gyro

5.Use existing 3 servos

and then however it is done, setup the transmitter 120 CCPM and do the throttle and pitch curve thing?

I'm not sure if the CCPM is done from the transmitter or the 4in1 box with the original setup so dont know if i can use any other existing parts?

Please tell me if i'm on the right track here, or totally wrong.

Thanks all in advance

Why would you have to change anything,I fly my Honey Bee with my Hitec Eclipse 7 all I did was change the channel on the radio and it does fly great the receivers in the 4 in 1 are futaba/hitec compatible.Unless you want to go to separates but that is a personal preference.

Please forgive me, as i said in my original post, i want advice, i also said i dont know everything yet, i also said i dont know how the collective is operated in the original setup, like are the revolutions mixed with collective from the transmitter and send these signals directly to the main motor and servos or does the 4in1 thing split the throttle signal from the transmitter and produce the signals for the servos for lift and also send signals to main motor sorry i just dont know.

Well the reason why i posted originally (as described in first post) was to get to know how the signals are mixed PLUS what i would need to go "seperates"

I am guessing the original controller for the honey bee is a 4 channel transmitter. Just use the ff7 in airplane mode and bypass all the curves..... let the 4 in 1 handle all the controls. Thats what I would do. As far as the transmitter setup, is there anyone at your local club or hobby shop that knows a lot about transmitters or has a heli.. they would be able to help tremendously seting up the transmitter. The only thing you would need to buy is a crystal for the 4 in 1 to match the transmitter unless you bought the transmitter with the right channel already.

Your HB 2 is 6 channels CCPM. Using your existing 4-in-1, you need to setup CCPM on the tx. You probably also need to setup the pitch-throttle curve. You can use the mixer on the 4-in-1 but you should get better result if you turn down the mixer and do the mixing on your tx as well.

If you go seperate, you'll need to do all of the above unless you also use HH gyro then you can skip the mixer part.

Ah, think i understand now. Well i do want to be able to adjust the curves from my transmitter (altho i dont know how to yet). Theres smething reallly wrong with the standard electronics, i know its something internal. The collective just goes where it wants most of the time, for example if theres suposed to be +5degress at 75% stick then this wil vary between 0 and +10 at 75% stick (figures just to ilustrate what i mean) so the bird is up and down like a yo yo...

I'm quite happy with the standard main / tail rotor "mixing" (if this is what you are refering to) and gyro effect so GREAT, i can leave everything as it is and get the pitch/throotle curves just how i like from my new Tx.

THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!
