Benzza,
Flight range is probably a few hundred meters... But after about 50, it gets hard to see, hence hard to control. It's only a small heli afterall.
You can install an 8cell NiMH which is cheap, or for really longer flight times, try a LiPo... You'll probably get a long time with a Dragonfly... But watch you don't burn out your motors early. I get 5 to 10 mins from a warm charged 8cell 650mAh NiMH.
A LiPo will take just over an hour to charge, with a good charger, at 1C.
$86 is probably an OK price. It depends on what you got with it.
Regards
David

I've personally found range to be rather terrible with the 4in1 box. The box it's self is nice, and works well. Nice gyro in it. But if I go more than 15 or 20 ft it starts to glitch like crazy. But then, I also managed to snap off the tip of my transmitter (Why would they make the freakin' metal so thin!?!?) and I also managed to sever my antenna while the tail boom was in a vice grip, and had to fix it by resoldering it. Not entirely sure if that could cause some range problems. In any case, i'm a walking disaster, so uh, don't listen to me. [:-]
oops is right though, the heli is so small that you really won't want to do much more than hovering around and flying in a small area

lol, you will be surprised I am afraid by how little range the #4 has. Mine goes nuts when it gets more than 50' away which is not very far at all. I have increased the range from around 35' to 50' by unrapping the antenna from the skids and wrapping it from the front of the heli to the rear and back. if you want to test it, try taking off on a nice surface near an area with decent grass to fly over. slowly fly away from you and when it starts acting weird run after it quickly and you may get it back in range before it goes down in the grass. unfortunately i found out over cement.
