Default SIM Compatible?

I'm thinking of buying a Blade CP, but have not seen anything about using the transmitter with a SIM. So, my question is: Will the Blade TX work with the FMS SIM?

Thanks.

I think it wont. The Honeybee CP2 probably will (and depending on where you get it from, it may come with the sim cable and software)

Most transmitters will work with PPJOY, however some technical knowledge and possible modifications to the transmitter are essential.

Quite a few people on this board have followed that strategy -

The transmitter is an almost exact duplicate of the E-sky transmitters. The training jack on the back. It should work with anything the e-sky transmitters work with.

The Honeybee CP2 transmitter is quite different from the E-Sky transmitter.

The CP2 radio has: LCD screen for voltage control, working trainer switch, replaceable frequency module ( and maybe a few more differences)

Also: according to another post on this thread: the Blade CP radio does not work (without modification) with a sim software. ( you can make it work by doing various soldering inside the radio)

I wasnt talking about the CP2 transmitter. Im talking about the one that comes with the Blade. Its an exact duplicate of the standard e-sky transmitter, the one that comes with the honeybee and the carbooon, and the hundred other varients they have...CP2 excluded.

I still cant see why you would need the "CP2" transmitter anyway. A LCD voltage display vs the old style LED display. Whooopty dooo. A freq module? All you had to do with the old style was pop the crystal out and stick another one in....and a trainer switch. WOW, another completly useless item for a helicopter, which is also on the older versions.

If they wanted to upgrade the thing, how about putting user adjustable exponentials on it, and maybe an adjustment for throttle/pitch curves. Then I might actually consider upgrading my Tx. Ive got both the standard E-sky Tx and the E-flite Tx. They are both interchangeable. The only difference is you can switch the Esky one to mode 1 or mode 2, where as the E-flite one you cannot, and the stickers on the front are different.

The problem with Blade CP transmitter (which is exactly the same TX as the older style ESky, I have both of them) is non-disableable CCPM mix. Because of this, none of the conventional TX-to-PC interfaces or PPJoy would help. The PPM signal, which can be read from the trainer port, is already mixed, i.e. moving the throttle stick affects elevator and aileron channels as well. The only way to use these transmitters with any simulator is to perform signal "un-mixing" on the fly. I know only one CCPM "un-mixing" interface on the market today, it's sold by www.milehighwings.com.

I hope you'll find this information helpful.
There's too much confusion surrounding different Chinese helie transmitters and too many people, who don't know much about the subject, add to this confusion...
