Just out of curiousity, If your breaking parts all the time, what makes you think the Trex is going to be different? Are the broken parts due to a faulty heli, or is it a result of crashing due to inexperience? If the latter, me thinks your trex experience wont be much different. Parts for Trex's can be considerably more costly. Trex blades can easily run $45 or more, compared to $15 dollar blades on some other micro helis.

Actually the Trex parts are pretty much the cheapest out of all of the helis available now however you have more parts to break vs a simple FP heli. And blades will run you $10.49 (wooden), $12.99 (ABS plastic), $14.28 (fiber glass)... and up (these are the prices from 1 site.. might be able to find cheaper ones if you search around)

No, most of the local hobby shops here sell the composite/fiberglass Trex blades and shogun blades for about $45 a set. The carbon fiber ones are running $70.
Blades for E-flite Blade top out at around $17 bucks for the wooden symmetricals. Ive never seen Shogun or Trex blades that cheap. The parts for both of them are fairly cheap, but you'll probably be replacing a lot more on a Trex or Shogun.
All my point is, is that crashing is going to nickel and dime you to death, no matter which heli you have.

Make sure you are comparing apples to apples.
Wooden blades for the e-flite. Check. Now, what is the price for wooden T-Rex blades?
hifirc.com shows them at 13.99

The woodies and the HS1042 are decent blades.

Dano, It does get easier.
It just takes patience and perseverance. It's rough while you are learning, but we've all been there. I still learn stuff everyday.
Hmmm 12 bucks for blades aint bad. I wonder why the local hobby shops have such a high mark-up on them.

While I got you here; I seem to have a problem when hovering trying to keep it from taking off foward. I even trim the Tx back but still no help. I guess my choppers just out of trim, where do I adjust?

Dano,
check your COG and adjust accordingly. If your COG is on then I would suspect that the swash isn’t level. Center all trims and with the stick at 0 pitch make sure the swash is level.
