I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me. I'm new to helis and new to electrics. I bought a blade cp a couple months ago and my 4-in-1 went bad so I sent it in and got a new one.
Now I'm seeing that when I throttle up to about 3/4 (between 5 and 6 clicks about 1/2 throttle), power the LED on the 4-in-1 turns red. I don't remember seeing this before, so I don't know what to think. Is this normal? Something else I thought about when I starting writing this is, some might ask how can I tell. Well the heli is still sitting on the ground. Which makes me wonder, at 5 clicks about 1/2 throttle shouldn't that bird be airborne? I can say at that 6th click it's ready to get off the ground.
Kinda starting to get frustrated with this thing....
Thanks

It won't lift off until you are above half throttle. That's been my experience with the Blade CP, at least completely stock.
FWIW, I prefer to havet eh throttle trim all the way up. It makes it much more responsive to throttle pitch inputs.

Mine turns red at about the same time you can hear the blades change sound like when the collective really kicks in -- about 3/4 throttle. It has always doen this, and I assume it is normal...

becareful not to set your main blade pitch to high. hovering just over half stick is good(stock config). If you increase your blade pitch too much via the link arms your motor will slow due to the high load which will in turn slow your main rotor significantly during turns in flight when you add collective causing your helicopter to lose altitude/crash. Speaking from experience. My pitch accidently got to high due to setting the blade tracking time and time again.
