I just recived my Blade CX yesterday and followed the directions for pre flight and first flight. I went through the first pack with no problems. I trimmed and adjusted what need to be adjusted. Today when I went to fly it again I followed the same procedure for connected the battery and letting the control module initialize. As soon as the control modual initialized this time the servos started jittering rapidly. The blades would spin for a quick second without the throttle or trim being touched. I put the heli on the floor and got it into a hover and when I try to rotate the tail in either direction the heli looses all power and drops to the ground. I unpluged and checked all the wires and even tried a second battery pack but the same thing keeps on happening. Any one have any ideas? Can the 4in1 contorl module be bad? This is my first Heli so any help is appreciated.

Very similar issue for me.
Bought it today...set everything up... Get into a hover with no problem (other then the drifting left turning tendacies mentioned in another thread). However after about 20 seconds the engine slowly loses power and in floats down (red light flashing).
Once down, if I bring the throttle all the way back I can bring it right back up with a green light and back into the air for about 20 seconds then power slowly disapates again.
This is all on a fresh charge!!!!
I took the cover off to see if was a heat issue...Did the same thing.
Suggestions?

I get the same as you Mangaboy. with the stock batt and a fresh charge it does great for about 30 seconds then it slowly falls back to earth. If I let it sit for about 5-10 seconds and then lift off again it will go another 20-30 seconds. I think it is the batt. I dont think it can keep up with the amp draw? I put in a 3 cell 730 TP and it has lots of power and flew for about 6 min before I shut it off to check for heat. I wonder how a 2 cell 900 prolite would work? I know it will keep up with the amp draw even the 730 prolite would work.

These definitely sound like battery issues. I would check battery voltage before and after a charge and a flight. Should be around 8.4 volts fully charged and no less than 6.4 when discharged. Just be very very careful not to short the battery leads.

fxt,
The same thing happened on my blade cp, turned out the reciever side of my 4in1 was screwed. New 4in1 and it was as good as new. I couldnt even get it in a hover though, as soon as the 4in1 armed the servos would jump around and the motors would spinup by themselfs.

Well I got it to work now but I think the batt was still the problem. I used my good charger (Orbit) to charge the batt first and I think the cells where just that far out of ballance. I used the stock charger to get them right and now I get about 8-10 min. flights.

Well, I called Horizon Hobby today and they told me it was probably the 4in1 and said they would replace/fix the problem. The only problem on my part is that I have to send the whole heli back to them so they can make sure it is that. They would not send out a replacement. I forgot to mention before that I have three batteries for the heli and the same problem happens with each one. Maybe the charger is bad. I hope the turn around on repairs is fast. Thanks.....

My first Blade CX had an odd issue where the servos would twitch suddenly before returning to normal... sort of like an r/c version of Tourettes syndrome. The heli would hover and fly just fine, then suddenly the servos would twich and it'd zip momentarily to the right or left, backwards or forwards (but never up & down)...
The guys at Helihobby couldn't figure it out, so they swapped it for me and put it aside for the manufacturer to look at. We suspect it may be a bad 4in1 board, but batteries and transmitter were definitely not the problem.
