Default T-Rex Setup

I have posted alot tonight, looking for a nice T-Rex Setup.

This is what I came up with. If you think i should chance something please tell me. This will be only my second heli.

Helicopter- T-rex CDE- $163.20
Motor- 420LF (3200KV)- $45.36
Gear- 10 Tooth 2.0 Bore- $3.99
ESC- Align 35A Brushless ESC(Governer Mode)- $62.16
Gyro- GY401- $139.95
Radio- Futaba 7CH- $169.99
Receiver- Futaba R156F- $59.99
Crystal- Futaba Receiver- $12.99
Servos- Futaba S3103 (3)- $72.47
Servo- Futaba S9650- $59.99
Battery- Thunder Power (TP2100-3S)- $72.95
Charger- Hobbico Charger- $49.99

If there is anyway the total price can go down, please tell me. The total now is $963.03. Thats alittle steep for me.

Have you checked the packages here?
http://www.helihobby.com/html/trex_helicopter.html

All come in under 900! All similar gear, and the SE model is the one at 899

Is the Hitec Eclipse 7-Channel QPCM a good radio, with all required mixing capabilities? If I get it can I use a Futaba 6Channel PCM receiver with it?

Umm, well where i was looking(helihobby), I costomize the T-rex. Its has the Hitec Eclipse 7 transmitter only with Spectra Modules as a choice of radio. Then I need a reciever. There are 3 choices: Hitec Futaba Shift 6 Channel Dual Shift Receiver, Hitec JR Shift 6 Channel Dual Shift Receiver, and Futaba Receiver R146iP PCM 72MHz. None of those are qpcm. Does this mean either i get a reciever, but never use it, or dont get the radio at all?

PCM is not cross brand...
while PPM allows mixing and matching (assuming you choose the correct shift)

PCM at this point as no standard so you have the use the same brand Rx as your TX

i just bought the optic 6 tx with spectra module, it was on there sale page, 189 i think and included the hitec qpcm supreme rx (which i am not using) but i can either ebay it or keep it for a future project, i chose to go for the electron 6 rx, it is pretty small 2/3 size of the supreme

Ok, well a Futaba 7CHP will work with a Futaba Receiver R146iP PCM 72MHz then. Correct?

Yep. And I would shop somewhere other than Helihobby. They owe me money on a return and they don't want to pay. I'm done ordering from them.

Ummm... I'm sure that was just a typo, but that's not a helicopter website. Warning to those in the office - don't click.

You can get the receiver at Hobby People for $100.
