For the knobs to work, the #8 switch on the back of the transmitter has to be off/left. Once you find your magic settings, flip the switch to the right. If the PLT is down to low, the heli will take off like a rocket once ya hit the magic notch on the throttle above 1/2 way. Be careful out there... LOL

With the throttle all the way down, and the PZT at 12:00, the main blades should be about flat. I set the PZT at 10:30 and the PLT at 1:30. Now, you want the blades fairly snug, but loose enough so they can freely swing out with a little rpm. Too tight is no good, and too loose is no good.

Remember, the thick edge of the main blades is the leading edge, and the short side of the paddels are the leading edges. and it rotates clockwise. Make sure your flybar paddels are level with the control tray in the center (square thingy). Make sure the blades are tracking properly too. Not one above the other. The sheet that came with the heli explains the procedure for that. Dennis

I wouldn't try to operate without the training balls it if you never flew a heli before. Trust me, I have gone thru lots of parts with the training balls, and I been flying fixed wings for 4 years now. LOL I can hover now, But im still all over the place at times, and I sure crashed alot to get to where I am. LOL Dennis

Unlock it until you find you settings. You may like mine. Anything is better than a rocket launch. Turning up the PLT adds more pitch when the throttle is raised above 1/2 way. At 10:30 on the PLT, the heli is way too quick for me !!!, at 1:30 it's alot friendler. I wouldn't Turn the PZT past 10:30. and remember, the PLT adds with clockwise, and the PZT adds with counter clockwise. The PZT sets the main blade pitch at rest (from where it all starts) and the PLT is how much is added when the throttle is raised after 1/2 throttle. (collective pitch).

Guildtar...how you going....
To active the "P" knobs you must swith the little #8 switch to the left.....if you look on the RHs it says #8. unlock/lock flick it left to unlock....then the "P" knobs will actually do their thing

Thats all ya need right now, other than make sure all the main shaft collars are tight, as well as other fasteners. Im telling you all this becaused you crashed, and we need to make sure the odds are in your favor this time. Let me know how you do. Watch the skids, stay close to the ground, and be very carful, these things are kinda squirlly. LOL

The PZT is the starting pitch. where it starts from. I like mine just slightly pitched down at rest, so I dont slap the ground hard if I drop the throttle to fast, it does help.

I got the tail motor I damaged working, and I've been outside in the porch light hovering. I definently keep getting better, but I can't seem to shake the nerves, and thats what make me not so stable. If I could stay calm, I would be doin alot better. Dennis

RE: Night Ranger 3D Gallery
Sounds like it is working right to me. In one direction it doesnt spin because the main blades always make it spin in that direction the tail turns on to fight the torque. so yes to go left I think it should stop and to go right it should go fast. Or vise versa, I can't recall and I don't have my heli with me. But with more power applied as in hovering it won't stop all the way but it sure will slow down if not stop when trying to go in the direction of the main blades torque.
I don't know if that helps. But the simple answer is, it sounds good to go.

Hey Dennis,
I fly my Sabre or helimax and build up to the faster helis to get my timing good or I fly my simulator. It helps to get the roughness out. But there is always that risk every time you plug it in.
But I think the rush is what makes it fun, you call it nerves -LOL. But I know what you mean, you want a mild fear not full on stomach flips. The more I fly the less nerveous I am. But for every day I don't fly the nerves increase. Except really I have no nerveousness with either my helimax or sabre anymore so I guess you do get over it. That is not to say that it is not intense when flying just not nerveous really to take em up. And it is intense because I am always pushing the boundries of my abilities. hahaha.

RE: Night Ranger 3D Gallery
ya i havent gotten to the hovering stage yet cusae i crashed, and when i to put my left stick all the way to the left it stops the tail blade from moving, but when i go to the right the tail blade goes crazy. im doing this stuff on the floor with out main blades right now cusae im waiting for my blade grips to come in. so when i go righ it blows.

Guildgtar,
Are you using training gear?
And C of G may know if it is a good Idea to run the motor without a load (no main blades). I have heard with some motors that is not good.
