DragonFly EM300 esc Question.
My uncle recived one of these for christmas and it came with a 8.6 battery. He wants more run time and was trying to find out if the stock esc of the DF will handle a 3 cell lipo. The model he has is the EM300 Fixed pitch heli. Any help would be excellent seeing is the manual it came with it is not in english.

picture?
first, what model is this, #4 #5 #35 #36 or what? I'm guessing this is a #4, yes the stock ESC can handle the load, don't worry about that, I'd be worried about the tail motor. If you're going li-poly (11.1v) buy a direct drive tail motor, which, will save your butt.

RE: DragonFly EM300 esc Question.
Some people get away with using the 11.1 V lipo and some have instant fried 4 in 1 unit or ESC.I would use 7.4 V lipo-maybe slightly less power but longer run time and safer for the electronics.
