Easy Blade CP Head Assembly Balancing
I have found really easy way to balance the entire head assembly. Below are the steps:
1. I mount my new blades and spin up the helicopter to center them in the blades grips.
2. I just loosen the set screw in the collar on the main shaft, then gently turn and push the main shaft and main gear until it disengages from the motor's gear.
3. I check that both main bearings are in place, then I turn the helicopter 90 degress and use the heli body and bearings to balance the blades.
4. At this point you can add weight to the light one or take weight off the heavy one. Since I'm lazy, I usually just add some scotch tape to the light one.
5. Slide the main gear back up and tighen the collar and you're all set.
I really like this method, I can balance the whole assembly in about 2 minutes.
