Hey! Hows about a Dragonus thread?
After reading a lot of favorable reviews I decided to take the plunge and get one. I'm a newbie to Helis, Only has the Walkera 4 before this. I've flown planks for years and caught the Heli bug.
The Dragonus 2 Elite seems to be a very nicely made bird, nearly all aluminum and CF. Some claim its a Trex killer, I wouldnt know considering my feeble skills.
I'm working out the kinks on the radio installation, anyone whos been down this road ought to pipe in.
The only problem is the marginal instructions and that the landing gear screw holes need to be opened up before inserting the screws. If you dont hog out the opening and force the screw to thread itself you may crack the gear. I'm on my second set without flying.

You will be happy with your purchase. The Dragonus is a very nimble and stable little bird.I've owned both a intruder and elite for about 6 months.
I can't think of any tricks for radio install unless your using hs65 servos. The only other thing is that when using a 160-180g lipo the elite tends to be a little nose heavy. This is not a problem for learning basic maneuvers it can be trimmed but later on you will want to boom mount the tail servo to get a better CG.

Yeah, I'm using hs-65s. I took a dremel to the openings and widened them a bit. The pinion should be here tomorrow so I can compete it.
Perhaps this doesnt rate a thread because it does not plagued with problems that certain other machines have.
The only problem I really have is in thei podunk town I live in everyone in the local club flies fixed wing (including me).
I went out and got RF3.5 to help with the heli but an experienced pilot is allways best.
It seems (according to the Fayetteville hobby shop) that all the electric heli guys are Soldiers deployed to Iraq. There are none left.
They tell me that none of the gas heli crowd will not mess with electrics.
I might be transferring to San Francisco so things may change.

If you want to get good cyclic linkage alignment with the 65's here's what you do.Use the recommended 12mm servo arm output hole.Bend the servo mounting arms about 5-10 degrees to the rear and use 3mm spacers between the arm and servo lug.Remove 2-3mm of material from rear of elevator mounting slot so it slides back. Those little fixes will give you vertical alignment on your cyclic linkages.
