Default Tail hunting problem

Just need some quick help from the heli pros out there. I'm using the futaba 401 gyro. I never had this problem before I think its because I'm using a different radio with it and I cant figure out how to stop the tail from hunting around.[:@] The radio that I'm using now does not have a remote gyro sensitivity adjustmet option in the program menu. What am I doing wrong here.... The Revo mix is at 0% any help would be appreciated.

thanks, Luis

What you're doing wrong here is not telling us what radio you are using or how you have the radio and gyro setup, what servo.....

The only way to control the gain on that gyro is with the radio, so you have to plug the single wire into a receiver channel and set that channel up to control the gyro gain. If your radio doesn't have a "gyro" menu, you can usually use the ATV (aka "travel adjust" or "end point adjust" ) for the gyro gain channel.

Oh, and revo mix should always be 0 with HH gyro.

I'm using the JR XP6102. I'm running the gyro in AVCS mode. the gyro is connected to the rudder channel and the sensitivity line is connected to the gear channel

thanks, Luis

Set the GYRO SENS menu from INH to ACT
Set the MODE to GY
Set the switch for your favorite switch
Set Rate UP to whatever you want the mode and gain for the UP position of the switch you choose. AVC 50 will put it in heading hold mode and 50 percent gain, NOR 65 for example will put it in rate mode with 65 percent gain.

Best to start with AVC 50 and NOR 50 for the two switch positions, that will usually be close, if it wags turn it down, if its spoongy and not holding turn it up till it does.
