Even though I've got 3 on the floor and one in the box, I'm jealouse. That is my favorite airplane. Keep up the good work and pics!!. You're doing a beautiful job with it. (??? Are your landing gear going all the way in or will it be like the real A-10, where it can still land wheels partially in the wells??)

What are the materials of construction?
I just lost my 52" WS A10 and have a pair of 70mm fans, motors, ESC's, etc., etc. just looking for a home.
I would consider this air frame only, as long as it is not foam.

Jeanskydive,
Thanks for the video link.
Up till now I have steered very clear of ARFs in general but this one seems to have a lot of potential.
What is the fuse/wing covered with?

Have you flown it yet?
I just received mine today. It arrived with very minor damage to one wing tip [simple repair] and the plane looks great. Now to accumulate all of the electronics and gear.

Maiden for the A-10, day almost perfect with no wind, weather temp. -2F., power set-up with Mega 1625/2 , batt. 5S-5000 LiPo, plenty of power with this dense cold air, probably need 6S-liPo in thin air in summer time, will see, fly verry nice easy handling, and have a good speed average . Video clip maiden lift off nex. Cheers [link]http://youtu.be/lmxLYtVb5yA[/link]

The A 10 looks great. I am in the process of putting one together. I am concerned about the Motor/ fan assembly. It is the Detrum combo for $47 with ESC and servos. SO cheap that I have a confidence problem. Do you have any experience with this maufacturer? The motor is an out runner. I understand I must balance the rotating unit. I dont know how to do it. Should I just buy a new power train set to satisfy my concerns? I hate to throw out two $47 combos and start over? I havent installed yet .
