Habu 32 Upgrades
I am going to appeal to the masses and ask what some of you have done to upgrade the stock setup for the Habu 32. I just picked one up RTF minus the batteries at a local RC auction and it has the factory fan and motor setup with a 100Amp ESC from Castle Creations. I took it out yesterday for the 1st time and it took 3 times to get off our grass field. I have seen people fly them off grass but I am thinking the 6s setup is not enough go to get it off consistently plus a little extra speed never hurts either. Now, before anyone ask, I do have my turbine waiver and I do fly turbines. I just bought this because the price was right and it's a nice looking plane. I am however, not a big electric or EDF person so that is why I am asking what you guys have done and what has worked. Also, does anyone make a better landing gear like trailing link for the Habu as opposed to the Eflite's or is there some struts that can be mounted to the Eflite retracts? Thanks in advance.

Tamjets for landing gear up grades. Easy power upgrade is add a heat sink to your motor and go to 7S by using a 4S and 3S in series. If you want to stick with 6S because that is what you already have, or if you want to go to 8S or more for big power, check out Eflux RC. They can hook you up.

HET are the only real affordable option in motors these days, arc closed down, many issues with bearings and soft shafts, neu are too expensive.
If you want an affordable custom 80mm fan take a look at these: http://www.extremerc.com.au/estore/i...146_11_195_318
Lots of combos available that are not listed, the most popular is the 8s combo, either wemotec midifan PRO rotor or Jetfan rotor with HET 700-60-1865Kv motor in an Extreme CNC Alloy housing. Over 150mph with good packs yet still quite easy to fly and land.

Hey Guys,
While I don't get on here very often, We are quite active at the other place.
I've been building and offering higher power, and great sounding EDF setups for the Habu 32, since it came out.
We stock the very popular Jetfan 80 as well as the Mach 80.
Happy holidays, Gary
