E-flite F18 vs Freewing F-18

Does anyone know how closely the E-flite F-18 (Blue angels livery, 80mm EDF) mimics the Freewing version? More specifically, are the electric retracts interchangeable? Thanks; Ernie P.

There's a few video comparisons of the two on YouTube. I believe they said the freewing was the better for flying and grass runways, the eflite was more scale. Watch the video though.
