My Hobby store just started bringing in these new lines of planes called Sapac you can look at Sapacamerica.com and check there stuff out, Im going to be completely honest I was kind of skeptical at first because its a new line of planes, but I just came back from the flying field I saw a friend that i sold one to a and he let me fly it for a flight. I was thoroughly impressed even with the stock fan unit and brushless already included, knife edges is a dream and power is point it and go. Im going to upload some videos of me flying it but if your interested email me at work [email protected] and I can get you a good deal. order the sapac planes from hobbysuperstore.com

Yup, I just recieved mine the other day, it looks like a great kit! Very high quality glass work on the fusealage and it should be a quick build. I am going to build mine with the stock fan and motor which should be plenty adequate. Electric Jet factory also sells them at EJF.com. I was suprised how fast I recieved it after making the order! I should have it up in the air in a few weeks once I pick out all the other gear to go with it.

Does anyone make a set of retracts for the SAPAC T-45 Composite? I just got my kit in & it looks great as everyone has stated. I would really like to see the gear go up.

This is one value for money plane, if it only came with retracts then it would be even more appealing. Of course retracts will cost more. I am so tempted to get one ... I got a few for my pals and 1 has flown it, the plane is good ... I love the speed. Very nice ...

I just ordered one of these from ejf and they told me they are shipping with a new larger 1000 watt motor. They will also custom install retracts for $100 if you order from them. I got the jet, servos and esc. for $415 to my door. Whats a good battery for this bird? I'm going 4S but I have no clue what battery I should be using. I've been flying that PHase3 F16 and have enjoyed it so much I bought the T45. They are also coming out with 55" F18 90mm unit in a couple of months. May have to get one of those too!

The current factory motor is a great motor, as is the fan unit. Make sure you balance the fan well, spend time fitting the rotor/collet adapter up neatly and then make sure you bench test it when fitting the spinner, if any vibration is evident keep rotating the spinner until you find the sweet spot.
It needs a 4100 4s1p pack minimum as it pulls 60+ amps, mine is running around 850 watts on 4100 20c pack. 45 degree landings? Video please
this model comes out around 1.6kg+, certainly no foamie and I dont see it high alfa landing all that well!
As for those electric retracts, forget em, they are weak, the old ones broke leg mounts and the new ones I hear are now stripping gears regularly. Best retracts for the T45 (and the ones everyone seems to be fitting) are the HET micro air retracts, beautifully made and can handle up to 2.5kg models. They come with a laser cut front wheel mount assembly so you can build the front setup with steering etc then drop it in as one piece.

I ordered the T45 from Electric Jet Factory in Arizona. www.ejf.com. I have no idea what retracts they put into the model. They are a large HET dealer also and told mel the next bird to get is the soon to be released HET 90mm F18 with a 55" wing span. Should be out in a couple of months. Thanks for the info on the 4100 battery I'll find a 20c pack. I can not believe the workmanship on these small little jets. Amazing.

Anybody know if the FLY HOBBY retracts will work in this bird? If not I'll keep it light and go gearless.
http://www.ejf.com/index.php?main_pa...roducts_id=471
Also if this is a 60 max. conti. amp hr motor, would not a good 3300mah/25c be lighter and suffcient?
Extreme_RC,
How much time are you getting out of the 4100/20c pack? BTW, nice flight via the hand launch bungy routine.
That thing really cooks. How's the bottom of the ship holding out with those grass landings?
Thanks,
keith

I am currently flying a Kyosho Mirage. Its quick and agile, with limited vertical and its tiny.I have no probs handling it,I want something bigger ,perhaps more speed and performance.
This Composite T 45 may just be my next purchase.
I can get 120 mph on the stock set up with a 4000 4S ?
Is there a cockpit kit available?
Is it handlaunchable or is a bungee set up recomended?

I just maidened my foam Sapac T45 today with a TP 3s 2200, pulling 350 watts and 38 amps on Don's Wicked 4800kv. I hand launched with about 15 degrees up attitude into the wind from on top a small hill with a gully below me. At fun throttle it climbed then stalled and droped 20 feet before it had enough speed to climb. Should I not have throw it with 10-15 degrees up? After the first few minutes I could see it needed the battery to be shifted forward about a half an inch or so to get the CG more nose heavy. The landing was almost uneventfull except for two bounces as it came to a stop. I was going to try again but when I turned on me Specktrum DX7 it says "Backup error". Well that ended my day. ANyone have a clue what Backup error is? I thought it was maybe an internal battery gone bad but I can't seam to find one. Any ideas?
