Default RE: stryker f27c battery question

I don't have a stock F27C, but I do have the old brushed version that I converted to brushless using the stock F27C motor and prop. On 3-cells, that setup pulls 24A. I believe the stock F27C ESC is rated at only 25A and the BEC is only good up to a 3S pack. So if you go to a 4S pack with the stock motor/prop, you will definitely exceed the ESC's (and probably the motor's) current rating. You would have to get a different prop to reduce the current and you'd have to disable the BEC to run a 4S pack.

Here's the specs on your ESC:

What kind of battery are you using now?
I fly my F27C with a 2200 mah, 3S 11.1v 25C li-po pack. It has lots of power with stock motor and ESC.
It was clocked at 81 mph using my friend's radar gun.

I am not sure if the stock motor will take the 14.8v from a 4S pack. A quick phone call to Horizon Hobby will confirm that.

I often try the current forums for the 27C but usually give up after searching for a few thousand postings!
