The wing is built with a wood spar out to about 3 inches from end of wings. The outline can be seen in a photo in an post above.

Hi Guys,

I've read a few reports of folding wings with high power setups, so why tempt fate!?! I want to run my wing strengthening mod past the Sniper experts to see if they think it will actually add some integrity to these wings.

I bored out a 3/16" hole about 2/3 into the wing at the thickest part of the wing. Plan to drizzle some gorilla glue into the hole, lightly coat a CF tube with glue, spray with water, and insert it. CF tube will be cut off the the root, and the wing epoxied together as per manual.

Remainder of the build pretty much stock. I'll be using 2 x 2S 3500 Lipos straddling the ducts above the wing, 2.4 Ghz, Het 2W-20, Het 6904, and Tsunami 72.

Pics attached.
Please let me know your opinions.
Thanks guys.

Marc

Specs:

HET Sniper 70mm EDF
JR 6200 2.4GHz reciever
HET 6904 70mm fan
HET 2W-20 motor
Tsunami 72A ESC
Futaba 3154 digital micro servos
Flight Power 3700mAh 4s 25c battery

The kit itself has very few parts. I was a little shocked not to find any directions for the kit. There is an excelent online manual however. The ESC also didn't come with any instructions. Again there is an online manual on the HET site.

So far the only work done was to clear coat the fuse. It was kinda dull. I also cut out the canopy. It is a little bit small. The dry fit didn't look good at all. I am going to have to do some work there.
